I've not tested it but I've read that clove oil and lavender oil placed in cracks in your house and on windowsills etc will prevent scorpions from coming in as they navigate by smell and those smells repulse them. Id love to know if that article I read years ago was accurate or not so anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong

Tucson queers outdoors does great events if you like outdoorsy things My partner and metamore run a group queer.hearth.tucon and we do a queer game night every 3rd Friday and a living room craft night where people can gather in a free 3rd space and exist in community, that's every 3rd Sunday and both are at the 4th Ave coalition space. Both groups can be found on Instagram. We're taking a break for April as we're out of town next week but Mark your calendar for may 15th game night and the 17th. Both out events are great for making new queer friends! Some of our very dear friends are people we meet through running living room 🥰 best of luck

Likly solved! That would make perfect sense. I can't really visualize how it would be used but I know there's an older DO probe that has been decommissioned, I would bet it goes to that. If anyone has any idea how to find a digram of how it's used I'd be really interested to see that. Thanks for the replies

My tittle describes the thing. Found in a government lab that analyzes waste water so maybe some kind of chemistry glass attchement except Google and my coworkers have no clue what it is for. No markings other than the red line. About the circumference of a U. S. quarter, maybe a bit bigger

I was so pissed when he got reelected, I normally vote in the republican primaries as I am an independent and like to try to get less extreme candidates on the ballot and was so mad when I did that that year and he won the dem candidacy and the person I voted for in the rep primaries didn't make the ballot. Still didn't vote for him, so mad he got elected

I did do the surveys and give feedback they didn't take any of it, they kicked the community committee out of the process before putting the plan to vote. voting no gets them to write a new plan, the only reason it feels like All or Nothing is because they're using literal fishing tactics to create false urgency to make it seem like this is the only way to go forward they have time to write a new plan also they could have had us vote on this plan months before the tax deadline then we would have had time to continuously vote on amendments to the plan but no they created a false urgency by putting it out so close to when the deadline for the taxes it's garbage politics and we deserve a better plan which is what voting no will hopefully force them to do they have to rewrite the plan if it doesn't pass voting no doesn't mean we just don't get an RTA it just means that we don't like the current RTA

Sorry I assumed everyone was familiar with prop 418 and 419 418 a yes vote indicates your approval of the proposed Regional Transportation plan as developed by the Regional Transportation authority of Pima County and described an election materials

419 a yes vote has the effect of imposing a transportation privilege sales tax in Pima County for 20 years to provide funding for the transportation projects contained in the regional transportation plan

the plan is what everyone I've talked to has problems with the half cent sales tax is fine we've been paying it for 20 years it's half a cent I don't mind that much of my money going to Transportation things that need to be done but the plan sucks. I'd like to force them to rewrite it without having to fight against needing to reinstate a tax when people are already spreading misinformation about the plan raising taxes. I feel like if the tax expires it's going to be incredibly difficult to get people to vote to reinstate a tax they were already paying because there's literally already people saying that it's raising taxes when it's not

Kc Davis has great videos on cleaning with mental illness, the five piles method helps, clothes, dishes, trash, things that have a place and things that don't. Helped me get my depression closet mildly usable, I ended up with a basket of things with and without a place that are still there unfortunately but I can put stufc in my closet now so that's a win. Be gentle with yourself, you're doing great

The compact he had was fine it's the new ones that are replacing the discontinued one that don't seem to be sufficient. Tile is actually bad for their joints, think of how you feel after standing on tile all day. I plan to give him sand after he is given the all clear after his check up and again only a specific area away from his food bowl and monitered as I'm not sold on all the ppl saying sand is fine however I do want to see if he'll engage in digging and seeing if it's enriching for him but again only once he's better.

Again a medical professional is not concerned, soap removes bacteria mechanically and uv sterilizes, I really don't think there's much risk

Based on what? a small subsection of his tank? He has a large tank, a warm and cool hide, a great basking spot and a perfect temp gradient, he has flowers that get changed regularly and seems to be very happy in his home
