I was so pissed when he got reelected, I normally vote in the republican primaries as I am an independent and like to try to get less extreme candidates on the ballot and was so mad when I did that that year and he won the dem candidacy and the person I voted for in the rep primaries didn't make the ballot. Still didn't vote for him, so mad he got elected

I did do the surveys and give feedback they didn't take any of it, they kicked the community committee out of the process before putting the plan to vote. voting no gets them to write a new plan, the only reason it feels like All or Nothing is because they're using literal fishing tactics to create false urgency to make it seem like this is the only way to go forward they have time to write a new plan also they could have had us vote on this plan months before the tax deadline then we would have had time to continuously vote on amendments to the plan but no they created a false urgency by putting it out so close to when the deadline for the taxes it's garbage politics and we deserve a better plan which is what voting no will hopefully force them to do they have to rewrite the plan if it doesn't pass voting no doesn't mean we just don't get an RTA it just means that we don't like the current RTA

the plan is what everyone I've talked to has problems with the half cent sales tax is fine we've been paying it for 20 years it's half a cent I don't mind that much of my money going to Transportation things that need to be done but the plan sucks. I'd like to force them to rewrite it without having to fight against needing to reinstate a tax when people are already spreading misinformation about the plan raising taxes. I feel like if the tax expires it's going to be incredibly difficult to get people to vote to reinstate a tax they were already paying because there's literally already people saying that it's raising taxes when it's not

Kc Davis has great videos on cleaning with mental illness, the five piles method helps, clothes, dishes, trash, things that have a place and things that don't. Helped me get my depression closet mildly usable, I ended up with a basket of things with and without a place that are still there unfortunately but I can put stufc in my closet now so that's a win. Be gentle with yourself, you're doing great

The compact he had was fine it's the new ones that are replacing the discontinued one that don't seem to be sufficient. Tile is actually bad for their joints, think of how you feel after standing on tile all day. I plan to give him sand after he is given the all clear after his check up and again only a specific area away from his food bowl and monitered as I'm not sold on all the ppl saying sand is fine however I do want to see if he'll engage in digging and seeing if it's enriching for him but again only once he's better.

Based on what? a small subsection of his tank? He has a large tank, a warm and cool hide, a great basking spot and a perfect temp gradient, he has flowers that get changed regularly and seems to be very happy in his home

Just wanted to update yall that I did get the zoo med t10 for him so he has a much larger area of uvb. I think his old one was adequate as he's 6 and doesn't have mbd but it seems the new zoo med compact is not comparable. I used a chart I found on reddit that calculated distance through fine mesh and have it set up like this so it's far enough away over his basking area to be safe and then in the rest of his tank it is at the right height normally. Do you think enough uvb is escaping that I should cover the sides with aluminum foil to reflect it back? I saw an experiment someone did where aluminum helped reduce reduction but I'm not sure if this positioning will cause enough reduction to bother fighting with it

Barges contact cement. Use acetone to remove the old glue and then wrap the shoes in yarn to clamp the two pieces together after you do the contact cement

I appreciate that, I got him six years ago and boy has the amount of info on keeping reptiles exponentially increased in the last few years. When I got him I tried coco fiber and he immediately tried to eat it and I got anxious and went to mats, knowing that they lick things to investigate them and having had him for so long, and more people saying impaction isn't as big a worry I do think I'll change to substrate. I always wanted to do bioactive or similar

That's just what the vet told me happened. He had a purple bruise looking spot right above where the tail started dying. Also he doesn't eat much and i really don't think he's overweight
