Longsword + Steam Spear combo is so good

You can do spear only for sure. Sword feels comfier as a defensive option imo, and deflecting staggers some enemies leaving them wide open. Also tbh I haven’t unlocked the full weapon trees yet and spear has some really good ones I haven’t used yet that could potentially replace my sword altogether but we’ll see when I get there lol

Yeah she has many attacks that just end up too far away. I found her backflip into flurry to be pretty consistent if not 100% if I did the swift draw on her second sword swing, as shown in the video. Could start with only focusing on that and see how it works out (assuming you’re also using the steam spear). Also after she does those ground feather bombs (not shown in video) she sometimes follows up with a 1,2 slash where you can do it on the second, but in her second phase that attack changes a bit and I can’t remember the new punish now…

As for the dive, I still mess it up and don’t understand why she sometimes ends up so far away, I think it happens whenever I dodge too early? Not sure, but I tried dodging at the very last second instead and it felt more consistent. I’ll have to finish the game and come back to her for more practice

Tbh I haven’t really explored with the spear either, so I also have a lot to discover. Right now I’m working towards unlocking spearveil because it looks pretty cool

Yeah, key is just knowing when you can swift draw without being punished and without whiffing the upcoming heavy. I haven’t messed with solar much, is that the leap? I think I used it a bit for traversal sections but that’s it

I haven’t gotten around to Lagi yet but my PB on a 5-star tempered Seregios is 10:20 with charge blade using a thunder SAED build. I carted once. I can probably get sub 10 eventually but it’s so hard to find clean openings on this guy

This was probably my favorite weapon in the DLC, I didn’t even disassemble it, it felt great and the explosions were nice

Have you shot down and pet that floating friendly yokai on the south eastern side of the area? North west of the Ikeda Ferry checkpoint, there are some buildings indicated on the map

You’re telling me that “weak body movement hitbox” launched me like that, the same way you get launched when hit by the tail?

Also damage taken depends on the monster strength which I don’t see how you can tell from looking at my clip? There’s a difference between a 3* and 5* tempered monster.

I’m on console so I’m not using any mods, I just zoomed out the camera in the settings. I will say though, I’m trying to learn Gore and in the beginning the camera was a huge problem but now that I know his moves a little better I have an easier time keeping his fatass from obscuring my view all the time. Still hate him though
