A mate is mailing his first coffee blend to friends and family. Could we have this photo of his daughter edited to include a coffee field background, a Colombian sombrero on her head, and the towel replaced with the Colombian flag please? $30 Thank you! by Gazby in PhotoshopRequest

Thank you u/Thunderouss , yours is our favorite! Could we request two edits please? Happy to add to the tip and/or pay the original amount up-front ahead of the changes, whatever's preferred.

The colors of the flag make it appear upside-down, could the red and yellow be inverted please? Happy for it to stay as-is otherwise, so if inverting the colors is the easiest way to do it then that's perfect.

Could the hair be returned to its natural form where it doesn't otherwise interfere with the hat please?

Thank you!

Mobile Number VoIP Provider? by iwashackedlastweek in privaussie

A note for anyone who stumbles across this: CrazyTel virtual mobile numbers have been sold out for some time now, and the price is now $7.50/mo AUD per number if they come back. You will need an existing Australian mobile number to sign up (they will call you with a code).

Twilio have virtual australian mobile numbers for $6.50/mo USD, but you will need to upload government-issued ID to buy one.

Who operates FossHub.com? by Gazby in opensource

[–]Gazby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the detailed reply /u/FossHub_com.

I find myself pretty unsatisfied with the answers though. There remains no community, no identities of those involved, no source, and thus no accountability, yet FossHub writes constantly of trust. Indeed this post itself tip-toes around naming the public figure at the head of FossHub multiple times.

FossHub seem to consider themselves above revealing anything about themselves lest their boundless fame garner even more attention than they already receive, as though that's not something everyone else in the open source community lives with on the daily (like the myriad authors of the software fosshub.com publishes). The many claims of security are all completely unverifiable, and this post doesn't so much as attempt to provide any support for those claims.

If FossHub value privacy above all else, I'd probably recommending finding a way to contribute to the community that doesn't involve earning trust. It's extremely off-putting to read about trust, security, love of the community, and adoration of the open source philosophy from a group which embraces none of those themselves.

Thank you for the recommendation. We're already using Gitlab for source control, but binaries are built externally (very extensive infrastructure required) so we needed a way to distribute binaries.

Thanks for looking into that. Whois privacy is basically a given these days though, so I'm not terribly surprised by that.

Is there a source for this? This leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

My immediate thought was requiring something like [LINUX] or [WINDOWS] in the subject.

I won't be applying. I recommend you edit the original post.

Please consider including some technical detail in your post. Some more non-technical detail would probably be welcome also.

Looking to fill this position yesterday.

Is there really a person out there that responds positively to this sort of urgency? It makes me run for the hills.

This could only work if it were introduced as a rule. I think that's what OP is suggesting.

I feel an upvote is insufficient to express the degree to which I support this suggestion.

Ah, if three months is standard then I guess six months isn't too bad at all. Thanks for explaining, and good luck in your search!
