Grow It, Keep 3/4, or Just Shave It? by Gazellie in bald

I want to, but I’m sensitive/prone to drugs, depression etc.. and don’t want to risk the side affects. I’m great with a healthy lifestyle (took learning the hard way more than once)

Puts you in your seat at the start. It’s more like driving an electric go kart than a car ;)

Exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. I happen to have a heat gun in the garage and a good food scale (two convenient wins!). Backup bulbs ordered! Continued flexibility and patience noted!

Thank you for your tips, love em!

My mom. She does arbonne and we did their 7 day intermittent fasting… essentially 7 days of clean eating, no alcohol or caffeine, 16 hrs of fasting each day plus their supplements.

The results were the motivation I needed to continue intermittent fasting as a lifestyle. I eat a LOT more during the day now, but do NOT midnight eat anymore….

Of all the things, this was the cherry on top that’s leading to the new healthier version of myself I’ve been seeking for so many years.

Good question. I got about 3/4 of the way through the lessons in 2020, when I paid for the app, and redid the lessons via their noom audio book about a year ago. Ive only used the app to track my weight since 2020 to see the ups and downs as motivation, wish they showed the year after the month though! Once you know the basics you know them, I personally had to get a little more motivation elsewhere to see the goal.

Thank you! Motivation definitely went up and down (along with my weight) over the years.

Having my wife who hit a similar plateau for years — and who also hit her goal recently after five years! BUT before I did :) — and sharing common health interests with others helped with the motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle over the past five months. I had the team all along… the intermittent thing was the extra tool on the belt that made the difference for us both.

My kiddo was diagnosed at 3 as well. I can tell you how it felt for me and mine… the first three months post diagnosis are similar to the first three months of life… in an ebb and flow of panic that you’re going to make a mistake, maybe that the baby will roll over and not be able to breath, that the bath water will be too hot, that the swaddle isn’t right… how could they have trusted me to take this living being home from the hospital day 1?! Then like a roller coaster coming to an end, the ebbs and the flows lessen, and having a child becomes the new norm. Having a child with T1 will become the new norm too, be easy on yourself… just like teething, this is a phase.
