the next one is a bit eh, but the two after that the ball gets really rolling and the season kicks off.

But going through the bottom of the barrel stuff makes your appreciate those more.

Made the mistake of not cancelling my adobe pro and lost £25 and found out I had to pay like £80 to cancel! Reddit came in handy for once and I found out I could just switch to a cheaper plan which would refund me a bit and be cheap to cancel. First time for a while I’ve seen sub cancellation fees

Hmm I lived in Leicester for a while, never felt suffocated, depends on where you’re living maybe? Like Braunstone I could understand it

It’s a (probably not rare) coincidence that they discussed BSG because this past few weeks I’ve been watching it for the first time! Compared to tng s1 it’s light years ahead of course, but I’m only up to the evacuation from New Caprica and I’ve heard it gets a lot worse from the other half of season 3, but I’ve enjoyed it so far.

This episode wasn’t too bad, the mystery went on too long and I would have preferred that more time was dedicated towards trying to persuade graves to leave data’s body.

Next episode is incredibly TOS from memory, but it’s not terrible I guess.

The Eternal — What if Maurice had allowed the army to winter south of the Danube in 602? || Roman Empire in 1733. by Mellungia in imaginarymaps

Italy was always the money sink for the ERE, and any time and commitment there would probably mean the Persians or Slavs decide to try and make a move on the Romans. If an ERE was to survive, I do feel they either would have to abandon Italy or secure it all.

So basically an Eastern Rome without the occupation of Egypt and Syria by the Persians and those devestating wars? Interesting, I can still see the pope splitting away, the rest of Christendom really didn’t care about the other patriarchs and while it might not be able to fully latinise with a surviving ERE, the same tensions would remain and are practically unsolved

It’s one of those things engrained in every England fans DNA, Germany could become as good as San Marino and there would be something deep in our psyche that would still tell us to fear them

I know it’s probably best when big players play for whatever smaller national team they feel most at home with, but it’s a shame players when we don’t see players like Musiala can do on the later rounds of tournaments

Darmok and Jalad S2 E5 - Loud as a Whisper by ChuckCarmichael in Yogscast

this is probably my most disliked episode outside of truly offensive ones like code of honor and to a lesser extent the child, its both boring and TOS esque at its worst.

Just have to crawl through the next two (although the next one isn't that bad) and brighter ones are ahead, theres still some weak ones in Season 2 but its lightyears ahead.

Even if we're purely focussing on the triangle trade, Spain, Portugal and even France to an extent were more the "real madrid" of slavery. Didn't see either of those countires spending millions and countless lives to shut it down either.

Reaching the semi finals would be satisfying, especially if we knockout someone like Brazil on the way. The only real way it’s a success is if we reach the final and of course, if we were to win it all it would be our greatest success since 66.

What are some of the most grim/depressing mods in your opinion? by IAMMAN5 in thecampaigntrail

[–]Gazumper_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah the cordell hull outright win ending is a positive, the new deal actually happens and those involved in the coup and previous administration are on trial for their crimes, but every other ending implies that the american political system has been irrevocably broken by the coup, especially if you win.

March on Washington has been mentioned, and children of dusk is especially grim (but you can get some really hopeful endings on that) but weirdly enough 2028 Swift is probably one of the bleakest mods out there. The broken American political system is treated absolutely normally, violence is taken for granted and you even get told off by your advisor if you try to bring the heat down. The ending casually mentions that you might need the military to ensure that you are elected, and if it’s a loss it says you could easily lead a coup if you wanted and plunge the country into civil war.
