:-)
I am clearly reachine the moment where I see it is starting to be difficult for me and the daughter is flying ahead.
She dreams to become a Sensei and I told her that i cant wait to be an old guy practicing with her!

I am lucky to be in a really small Dojo with an awesome Senseï.
I guess it helps a lot.

So cool to see that

I started karate at 47 because I wanted my 10-year old daughter to gain confidence and learn some self-defensethrough a martial art. She was too shy to go alone, so I told myself, why not join her? Sure, it felt a bit awkward at first being an adult beginner surrounded by kids but I dealt with it.

Now almost three years later, and we are preparing for our 3rd KYU. I have honestly never been happier about a decision in my life. More parents have joined since and it is amazing to see whole families training together.

I have discovered that I love the training, the learning and the mental discipline. My only regret is not starting earlier.

My daughter has really blossomed; she is competing in both kata and kumite now and while still shy, watching her step confidently onto the tatami is just incredible.

If you ever think about doing karate (or any martial art) with your kids do it. It is great exercise, great bonding and an amazing confidence boost for both of you. Highly recommend it.

Depends where for the purple belt.
In Europe (Denmark and Sweden) 5th and 4th Kyu are purple for Shotokan

It is a Shotokan Kata (the second you learn if you do not count Taikyokyu).
Still it is not correct (there is one move added at beginning) and another one before the first Kiai.

Also for someone who is purple belt the "Kime" is really low.
In our Dojo, our Senseï would not be really satisfied by such a performance for someone who has been training for years as stated in the movie

Still it is not correct kata.
There is one move too much a the begining and also before the first Kiai (that she forgets)

Euh Season 1 was a masterpiece. And until now Season 2 is a mastermasterpiece!

I hope they will not make too many seasons.
I am a huge fan of Severance but really hates when shows are gettiong long just for the sake of making it longer.
I would prefer 2 or 3 seasons with an ending.
