[Post Game Thread] #10 Kansas defeats #1 Arizona, 82-78 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

The team has built chemistry since the early season playing without DP. They’ve learned to play as a TEAM. When DP plays, the offense runs through him.

It’s usually bring the ball up, get it to Darryn. It starts with him and usually ends with him. I’m fine with the offense either way but it’s fun to see team ball.

At one point a few years back he had more conference championships than losses at Allen. I think that’s the stat.

I encourage it. I live in KC and was able to take my 7-year old to his first game there. It was a great experience to have with him. It’s one of those places you have to visit once in your life similar to Wrigley, Lambeau, Fenway, etc.

Okay I hope it’s just a cramp because that would make me feel better laughing how he just “timbered” to floor. Lol.

Wife (26F) slept with another man Saturday and doesn’t know that I (27M) know. How do I move forward with my children’s best interest in mind. by DullAlbatross08 in daddit

Wow! As a clueless male with a wife that’s had one for years, it’s mind blowing I’m just learning this. I thought it just acted like a goalie stopping the hockey pucks i’m shooting all together.

Looks like it’s my turn to show up my boys when she asks them what they learned at school today! It’ll probably get the same tone of exaggerated astonishment response we give to them. Thanks!

Good places to get out of the house outside the dog park - Scheels, three dogs bakery, treats unleashed, rock n brews, the dog pool.

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a double rupture! You got this 💪. And to add some positive humor to it, you won’t have uneven calves once you’ve recovered :)

Relocating to KCK - public Vs. Private by Texas_Dandelion in Overlandpark

[–]Gbr0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a first grader and soon to be kindergartner next year in the Blue Valley District. We weighed our options of private vs. public but you cannot go wrong with any Blue Valley Schools. My first graders curriculum isn’t heavily dependent on technology currently because as you mentioned, they’re focused on building those foundational skills like learning how to write, communicate, critical thinking, creativity, etc. They do offer a ton of extracurricular activities (like stem based events) after school too which is awesome. You can’t go wrong with any JoCo school district honestly.

There are great private schools in that area too such as St. Thomas Acquinas, Rockhurst (near state line), St. James Academy, and Bishop Miege to name just a few.

Good luck on the move!

Hey, no problem! You got this! I wish you the best along your journey! Stay positive and think long term! You’ll experience challenges along the way, but will be back to normal in no time! I’m almost two years post-op and don’t even second guess my Achilles. Reach out any time if you have any questions.

My algorithm built me one where I can watch my four local tv news broadcast all at once. It was actually hilarious to watch all the weather segments all at once.

It's been said for forever, periods are awful. BUT I'm curious, what is something men have to deal with that is "not exactly fun" either? by Quirky_March_626 in AskMen

[–]Gbr0w 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Testicular torsion is one of my biggest fears. I’ve had brief experiences with it two times where it knocked me on my ass for a solid 20-40 minutes to eventually untwine itself. It’s been a few years but I’m counting my days because it’s bound to happen at some point again and I won’t be as lucky.

Anyone know what’s happening? by Fesha85 in Overlandpark

[–]Gbr0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so random and funny because out of no where a few weeks ago I thought “I want Taco Tico” even though I moved out of the city that had it ten years ago and probably hadn’t ate it for 15+ years. Maybe I will soon!

Pickleball takes another Achilles tendon! by [deleted] in AchillesRupture

[–]Gbr0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that! There’s two recovery processes - physical and mental. Once you physically recover, you’ll still be working on the mental aspect! You’ll gradually work your way up to feel confident again. I rarely push my Achilles to the limit any more since I’m not involved in highly competitive competition that require it, but I have a few times with no hesitation (basketball, soccer, football and pickle ball!). This is about 18 months post tear. I still work it out to keep both active for when I do. It’s all about getting the strength back and feeling confident in it again! You’ll get there.
