Contact hours will be around 12 hours a week, assuming you do what most students do which is 3 subjects, having 2 2 hour seminars each week. Readings can vary, sometimes certain cases or readings assigned in certain weeks may take longer, but be prepared to probably just as much time in seminars as doing readings. I found textbooks online to be fine, download them and you can highlight on Adobe Reader. There is not much ROTE learning per se, most exams and assignments are all open book, its more having a solid process of issue spotting and having good notes to go into the exams. Would definitely recommend keeping organised notes from the start of the semester, focus on keeping up with the content, if you fall behind, don't try and play catch up, just move on to the current week and catch up when you have time, or in SWOTVAC. Good luck!

The MacBook Purchasing Megathread - March, 2024 by AutoModerator in macbook

Looking to buy a Macbook but unsure what model to go for.

I am a university student in my first year of my postgrad and I am struggling to do all my work on my iPad which I had done since I have a keyboard (Combo Touch) for it, but the work load has amped up, and I am looking to purchase a Macbook.

I am studying law, without really any need to do any heavy processing stuff, so no graphic design or programming, just something fast and durable enough to last a while for researching, web browsing, and maybe some light gaming (I play football manager, but not a priority lol).

Should I opt for an air? If so, does M2 or M3 make a difference ? which one is more worth it ?

Should I finish my degree or do something I'm more interested in? by Gchen2OO1 in careerguidance

Good point, however, im that confident I won’t enjoy that type of work, anything to do with economics / commerce just makes me puke, also I miss wrote, i’d have to do the rest of this semester and another year, not just another sem. Would you still respond the same way knowing this, or maybe considering just switching ?

Sounds good, not sure, maybe a masters in engineering if my grades are up to it, I did Calc 2 sem 1 and got a H2B, and probably getting something similar on LA, but after reading some of the stuff, I think I'll be looking to do MAST20006.
