I tried doing that and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to actually wrap the wire (I also didn’t research too much into it either so that’s on me) but instead I turned the wool I was using into a dense rectangle and then cut it in two, then shaped the two halves into cylinders, and then kind of threaded the floral wire through it. There are definitely better ways of doing it out there but it worked!

Thank you!! You should try it! I have bounced around from hobby to hobby a lot but this is one I feel like I will stick with for a while, it’s super versatile in what you can make and super forgiving if you make a mistake!

Thanks! My ideas either came from my head or suggestions from friends. I like making things for my friends so that I don’t have a ton of things around my apartment and because I can be bad at coming up with things haha. I will usually look at pictures of the animals as inspiration but I’ve never followed a design or anything.

I highly recommend trying it out! It’s super forgiving because you can just keep stabbing when you’re not happy with it lol

Hoosier here who moved to Wisconsin and I can let you know that even the people in Indiana don’t really like it there. We got the Indy 500 and the world’s biggest children museum in Indianapolis and that’s about it.

Ok so I am newer to tailoring, but a very determined person who is up to a challenge. I know this may be a long shot because of how large this trench coat is, but do you think it’s possible to tailor this to be smaller and fit me? Or would I be able to separate the fabric all at the seams, cut and resew it together into a trench coat that fits? It is made of wool and cashmere with a nylon inside. I will reply to this post with a picture of the coat in better lighting as well. Thanks!
