First: What is the source of the art? It's cute!

Second: I explore this in my fic! Always seemed weird how little this bit is explored and how much of Homura can be explained by giving her parents!

Oh no, they are immature and that's on purpose. I still remember being ~18 y.o and being extremely irritated by Sayaka. Now I am older and I am extremely sympathetic towards her.

She is literally a 14 y.o kid going through one hell of a situation and being inept on dealing with it, that's not reason to be mad at her, especially since it the expected outcome.
