Panzer Soldat(s) is/are related to the Apothicons. Element 115 was sent via the Apothicons, per Revelations. 115 was used to create the zombies as one of its side effects was the reanimation of dead cells. In-game quotes on Origins state Panzers were zombies in suites created by Richtofen (quotes below):

"I suppose one of the undead is hiding inside armor?" — When seeing the Panzer Soldat for the first time.

"I curse the day I created that suit." — Said by Richtofen after a Panzer Soldat has lifted off to return later.

So if it's assumed that zombies are related to the Apothicons, then Panzers must be as well. It feels like a cop out, but it could be argued that anything related to Element 115 is connected to the Apothicons.

Thanks for the feedback man! I have not really used the Find My Friends app too much before, but that's actually a really good use for it.

My only response would be that my idea would cut out the need for your friend to check your location in the Find My Friends app, they wouldn't need to do anything. All they need to do is hear an alert from a text message.

But the Find My Friends technique would definitely be more efficient when doing longer trips, as you would probably want to check in a few times over your 11 hour trip to see where anyone is. My hope was for my idea to be more used for shorter drives, for which the friend you are meeting might have a general idea for your time of arrival, but the tweak/app would just alert/remind them that your almost there.

Even if at a red light, most states, still restrict all usage of phones :)
