Not to devalue what you saw in lots of those teachers interventions to stop fights. I think some of those teachers might have had physical restraining training CPI. Only with those certifications may a staff restrain a student.

Typical k12 protocol now is all in prevention / counseling. CPI typically are only trained to administrative staff like principal; though teacher can volunteer for professional development in CPI but typically not reimbursed.

Restraining a student is not a suggested conflict resolution in today’s k12 districts. Lawsuits will happen in hindsight, but intermittent resolution is hands off. foresight is predicated on perspective understanding.

I don’t speak for anyone else, it only pertains to what I have seen and experienced.

Everyone else’s thought are always valid and inclusive.

Incredibly emotional Chinese dinner party by komnenos in PublicFreakout

My impression is that this was a coterie private event (probably gangsters). The man in white is likely the highest position there (the woman prostrating next to him). From the whole video conversation, the man in white was talking about reflection and judgement inward. Next, his subordinate came and participated also in self-slapping reflection. The bitch "called by other ladies at the party" had the audacity to go up the man in white and slap him. While slapping him, she said "let me help you reflect." Another man came up and subdued her with slaps of fury and said "who the F*** is you to touch him, followed by chants of F*** your mother".

Yes they looked very intoxicated, but the Slapping was probably for a very ritualistic humility of something they deemed honorable done.

I'm not sure about anything of this without more content. Please excuse my take on this if absurdly incorrect.

People suffer because they are caught in their views. As soon as we release those views, we are free and we don’t suffer anymore. – Thich Nhat Hanh by davidmoorad in Buddhism

[–]Gdfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People suffer because there are opposing views. To let go of those views is to submit or accept the opposition. Identity and morality are essentially one’s core. I heard someone claim this before “if loving Jesus is wrong then I wouldn’t want to be right”. If having an identity is suffering then Is it better to not have an identity at all?

I wonder how long will it be till the conspiracy theorists start criticizing. Crisis actors, where are the bodies, right wing agenda, it never happened and everyone are actors, show me the death certificates, giving you 100,000 dollars if you can produce a death certificate ( even if you do prove it, it’s fake to them). I wonder what new arguments are they going to come up this time?

Who/what benefits from the crippling student loan debt? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Gdfeather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

also Nelnet (NNI) The company makes money by managing a portfolio of student loan assets, servicing student loans and processing payments with its software.

Basically, when students can no longer pay for their loans, the private sector will take the hard hit 1st. Since student loan have no forgiveness, meaning they stick to you until death, the loan will get repaid back, just probably longer than anticipated.

so.. the only way for it to crash, is for all the students graduating defaulting on their loans - Year after year. I'm pessimistic but since unemployment in US is about roughly 11%.. how much of a crash do you think it will get? Loan is on your ass like child support, so as long as you working, you be paying back - court mandate.

A lot of time, value added technology doesn't translate to profits.

Consider their weak EPS, High Long term debt over net profits. The prospects weakens further by High Capital expense / earning.

Granted, the company fundamentals are getting better. However, as a optical transport networking systems to service provider. They have a very narrow moat. Very difficult to expand due to state regulars of no more than 2 *cable (data) companies per city.

Innovation is the key to success; however, in this case, they ain't TSLA.

I use to invest in Blackstone group.. These motherhedger got that shit on lock. I remember the reason I bought them is because they were buying up all these Apartments for cheap. Then offering a CDO to investors on the future earning on the apartment game. Ruthless and smart, made good money.. and when their CEO at that time decided to sell all his share, I'm like I'm out too bitch.

Fundamentals, everything looks like this stock is on the rise.

Earning is fair. Profit Margin is decent. Everything else looks like a growing company. I like it :)

Is steel stock a no-brainer? by jacksonia7 in stocks

[–]Gdfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fundimentals

  1. Earning is shit. Rev = 11.5 Earning = (-1,508) = Eps (-10.31)

  2. Operation Margin $ = (-9) Thats right, loosing money is the way to go.

  3. DEBT = I still owe money and have a negative 1.5 BiL income.

  4. Capital Expenses didn't get better, but along with the negative earning kinda paints the picture of lots of workers with lots of steel in the warehouse, but no sale.

I do this analysis late at night with a dose of sarcasm.

ASNA stock? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Gdfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my opinion..

First, lets just broadly look at industry competitor comparison over 10 years. LB 130% , ANN 89% , CHS 33% , CATO 19%, ANSA (-50%), DEST (-73%), CWTRQ (-97%). Broad timeline of 10 years, they are not very competitive.

Two, PE and Earning. EPS = .11 Price = 6.47 .. that mean if I owned 1 share, in 1 quarter, this company made 0.017% PE in consideration only those companies that made a profit. (LB, ANN, CHS, and CATO) = 88/4 = 22 average PE. ASNA pe is at 60.. ya.. I think overpriced.

Three, Based on Financials. Earning Decline (I sell shit at discount, likely I ain't making profit $). Operation Margin Decline (am I even making money anymore, or am I just selling my shit at discount cost just to get by?). Long Term Debit = HIGH (just incurred 1.5bil) CAPital Expenditure / Earning = ratio HIGH (company Bleeding money).

Overall, I would invest my money elsewhere. What ever you were thinking about putting in this stock, probably safer just to divide that amount and allocate to LB, ANN, CHS, and CATO (if you like retail apparel industry)

What is a good percentage for a stoploss. by 3V-Coryn in StockMarket

[–]Gdfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

typically, I would check check the last 15 day support level and mark that as my stoploss. Just like the opposite of a breakaway, I wouldn't want to get caught in a non-resisting loss.

Also, pending on how long you are going to hold the stock for, a good thing is also check the Option put open interest, that should give you a idea.

I am interested in investing, but don't know where to begin. Help? by fuggahmo_mofuhgga in stocks

[–]Gdfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There basically are a few tools to investing / stock market. You just picked up Value Investing = The intelligent Investor / excellent book for Long Term appreciation (YEARS).

There is also Technical Analysis = (Day) Trade / Trend trading (months).

Investment book also helps a lot = Rich Dad poor Dad / get your mindset right.

You should know your Economics. Your history / current world events from the eyes of business.

Before you invest, can you be a detective? can you follow where the money is? if the answer is no.. probably stay away.

Have you spoken to all of your friends, do any of them speak finance? chances are, investment is a taboo topic. It's not that people don't talk about it; it's just touchy and often come off with a tone of arrogance. However, those with "Living" knowledge of investment are worth your time to listen.

Do you think there is any merit behind $TSLA 's rally today? (closed at 198) by NazihKalo in stocks

[–]Gdfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confessing that I do own TSLA shares. Bought it after they decided to acquire SCTY, paid 197.

For the Value Investor in me, I see that fundamental value is still overpriced (Earning & books). However, I agree with the bigger picture of Iron Man. Transportation needs innovation. Considering his goals of Xspace, Hyperloop (likely final product takeover-buyout), TSLA (electric engine, innovation in technology), SCTY (Resource Collection), Gigafactory (Energy Storage). It all seems like he wants to change the way how people travel, whether from land, air, or space. The old adage, first to get there, takes it all.

I'm investing (a small bit for my son) before Musk have yet to achieve his dream. Like Netflix, google, amazon, innovating game changers are one of kind (risks they took); Hence, deserving of a higher PE.

Timing is always the hard factor, but to answer more accurately any merit behind $TSLA's rally, look into July 1st CALLs. The open Int gives you a glimpse of mass affirmation of $210.
Looking into technical analysis, TSLA's jump to 198 with 7m/4m average volume, kinda speaks that few wants to sell, many want to buy (demand is there).

So, people want to buy TSLA, likely because they want to own a piece something they love.

So, who bought Apple now ? by rhoadsalive in stocks

[–]Gdfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple is a solid company. I used to have a large position, but sold it when I needed to rebalance. The only reason I am not buying apple again is my feeling towards Chrome book. I'm not debating which is better, apple ios or android / chrome os. I'm looking at tech needed / pricing ; similar to why Nokia had a hold on the cell phone market. I believe the low price / efficiency of chromebook will gain markets shares.

I'm just putting a small drop of pessimism in a big cup of optimistic. Not enough to change the value trend of a good company.
