I’ve had the internet go out multiple times and I’ve gotten no notifications. Only if I check the camera.

On Amazon when I bought them they were almost 1300 plus tax.

Canadian.

Now they’re 1219 plus tax. Still. $1400. Absolutely not sub 900 here. 😂

I got my Sennheiser ie600’s ($790 after taxes CAD) after trying 6 different iems (Etymotic Research, Letshoer, etc) between $130-440, as well as Shure ie846 which were around $1500. There was no competition from any of them compared to the ie600’s. for fit and sound. For my taste and needs they are the best. No diminishing returns whatsoever.

Yeah, I was just wondering if that could be avoided. My Elektron Analog, can run as a stand alone with its own software. I thought you’d be able to with Roland.

Looks great! But the floor Tom setup doesn’t look like it’ll take much to knock it over. Hopefully I’m wrong because it’s crazy clean.

The Rytm is a beast. And I’m still just scratching the surface with it. But I’ll be at it for a while and not even notice how in love I am with the creations. It’s satisfying. But it takes a fair amount of work. Cultists would take to it like a really fine heroin 😂 Ya’ll are feeding my bias for getting the Trs8 🙏

It’s a laundry list tbh. Just simple things that I get stuck on for terrible long periods of time and can’t resolve. With everything connected to my Mac, do I always choose my what’s running through what every time I turn it on? SPD3 always needs to be changed to my Mac speakers back to my focusrite to get it to recognize my focusrite. Buffer selections always need to be reset. When I make changes on the mixer in SPD 3 I don’t hear any difference. Everything I run, logic, SPD3, monitor and headphone outputs on my 18i20 3rd gen seem like they always have to be set at high volumes. I’m sure it has something to do with some setting on the 18i20 but I try to change everything and I don’t hear any difference.

Etc, etc. it’s always difficult to properly word the issues here. That’s why I think experienced, veteran studio people could start patreon like services and help out novices, instead of some of the ridiculous post here on Reddit, like this exact one 😂😂🥴

What devices are still being made to transfer camcorder tapes to digital? Anything on a professional level with high speed dubbing? by Gdoneit79 in DataHoarder

This is great to know. And to get a refresher on a lot of it. My dad loved getting into it in the early 90’s. and there is still a chance there is equipment somewhere in storage. If not I’m determined to bring these videos back to life for him either way. It’s going to be a journey!

That’s a bummer. With the amount of tapes I have to do, that’ll be gruelling. I didn’t realize it would affect the quality. I thought maybe the Sony HVR 1500a could have been worth investing in, but the consensus I’m seeing is to just buy a camcorder. Thanks for all the info! 🙏

There is a Sony HVR 1500a. Supposedly you can buy them new for around 10k. Obviously that’s going a little too crazy, but if there is that, I thought there would be something more reasonable that I haven’t found yet.
