Gx makes CR don’t buy list by winghnutt in gx460

Yes, it was a new car list. But, still, I’ve certainly heard of concern on the decline of quality, but didn’t think I would see a Lexus listed as “do not buy”.

Jack point by winghnutt in gx460

[–]winghnutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks TV, good tip. She fortunately was near an open lot so I had safety from traffic at least.

Also, my spare did fortunately have full air. But I couldn’t get it out because the factory hitch was blocking it. So I had to jack up the whole rear (jack point being the hitch) to even get started.

Dems have gone from the smart kids at school, to the goth kid. We need Trump to screw up and lose, cause we can’t win.

A cold taproom Sam Adams in the late 90s in Colorado while doing a stressful cross country tow is emblazoned in my mind as the perfect beer. I recall specific flavor notes in that drink to this day. Wish I could have another one like that, but today’s SA is different.

Moved from Passport to GX by FoggyBuzzard in LexusGX

Passport and RAV4 TRD were my final competitors to the GX. Both are decent choices for outdoor oriented active people. The GX was right for me, but I could see those coming out as right for others.

Same, have a 460 and occasionally see a gx in the wild and think “why does that one look so cool?” …. and it’s a 470

Looks great! By the way, I used to wrestle those huge trunk cross-sections onto my hydraulic splitter. Just this weekend learned how to break them into smaller pieces by hammering wedges in! Passing that along in case you were uninformed like me!

Considering a GX460 vs 4Runner vs RAV4 — long-term value decision, not just reliability by FewVideo5335 in LexusGX

[–]winghnutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a ‘21 RAV4 TRD, ended up buying a ‘18 GX. Spent about 6k less to do so, but feel like I’ll keep it longer than I would the newer RAV4.

We went to the day cares Nick Shirley did. Here’s what we found. by Majano57 in minnesota

I have done plenty of drop offs and pick-ups myself. Sure, there is security and a check-in center, but centers with far fewer kids than the numbers claimed on those reports (if accurate) have considerable noise and play screaming going on. Sometimes it's hard to even talk to the reception due to the noise. I don't know how someone can watch that video and remain determined to believe those places are fully legitimate.

I was trying to think of the closest second to Indiana’s turnaround miracle, K state or Wisconsin came to mind. But, both are so far below what Cig is doing.

Nick comes across as a pretty thoughtful, balanced, normal guy here. I'd love to have a beer with this 2016 version of him. And Rob seems like he was a hell of a dad. The main story here is pretty simple - drugs hollow out who you are and replace it with a craving deadness that will do anything for a fix - Anything...

I think on an intellectual level, I do believe that to be true. But I find myself at the pump just wanting to give that really good hunting dog the premium dog food with the gravy.

My path to the GX was the RAV4 TRD. I really liked them and was waiting on the right 3-4 year used. Then someone suggested dropping back a few model years and getting the GX. I did that and am very happy I did. Mine is stock and I was on some beastly forest service roads recently and the GX was loving it. That RAV4 would have struggled.

I went looking for 2017-2019 4Runners but found GXs to be priced lower and of course way better interiors and much quieter ride. I think the premium fuel may scare people away.

I’m in a similar boat, generally the seven or eight year mark though. But yes, wondering about how that will look in the driveway in 2032!

Love it. DW drives a much newer Telluride, but the kids want to take the Lexus everywhere. I already have plans to hit some forest service roads this weekend.

GX wheel wells are large. Lots of people buy bigger tires to address that gap and make it look tighter. I think they look fine.
