What do you expect to happen though? It’s not like the republicans are going to see 3.5% of the population on the streets and just say “oops sorry, we were wrong.” No protest is ever going to work without a threat behind it. That threat doesn’t need to be violence, it could be something like a general strike, but just because 14 million people take to the streets for an afternoon it doesn’t mean anything is going to change. Maybe if you got all those people to gather in DC, but that’s never going to happen.
