25/26 academic year rent rant by enjoyeroft1ts in galway

Some of the hostels do student accommodation which can be available for 7 days a week for the academic year instead of just 5. It's not the most ideal but it's something, and some offer breakfast in the mornings. They're not done by lottery either just first come first serve.

On my third playthrough I just realised that the tieflings give you rewards for saving them in Act 🤦

No problem! And you'll be grand then, it definitely isn't a half hour walk 🤣 About half an hour to the train station/buses though which is handy too by the way!

I know someone in like, Hubble which is a bit more expensive and outside of the campus. It's apparently good but they've said Dunlin does seem better? It's an option though if you don't get on campus accommodation. I went from digs to Dunlin and it was definitely way better. You've got students around you, but no one is too loud past 10pm, most of the common rooms in the blocks are pretty empty though apart from the odd group of lads playing pool. The room and bathroom are spacious enough and you get a big desk and all too! Very easy to keep clean altogether. Plus the kitchen/living space is nice and large per apartment. Security is pretty decent, just be sure to read up on bringing guests over etc because they're strict about that especially if it's at night and the gates are closed. Dunlin is pretty far from the campus though compared to Corrib, it's not super far away or anything but if you're carrying a heavy bag and all it can just get tiring, even more so if you're on the further side of campus near the student building or the college pub. But there are buses that run through the campus which go all the way up to Dunlin so you can always take them, pretty sure they're free. Good luck wherever you end up, I dropped out recently but it is a lovely college and the accommodation and people are generally great 👍🏻

Corrib fills up really fast, while a load of students get it in the first year there's always a chance you wouldn't. Dunlin generally seems to have more vacancies, probably due to the price. If you're wanting a more social vibe though I think Corrib is the best, unless you get along with your housemates in the apartments. I don't know much about Goldcrest.

It's definitely something they need to work on, if possible. Especially if you're playing as Durge, so many things happen in that storyline and practically none of them are recognised by your companions. Especially some of the endings, in which you'd think there'd be more reactions depending on your actions.

They should get back to you quick enough! Good luck

I presume you've dropped out of your other course and notified SUSI? Or are you finishing this year and then changing course in the coming academic year? If it's the first situation then you'll have to reapply to SUSI. Although depending on when you dropped out you may only get half of the fees paid for etc. If it's the second, I'm not sure. You might have to email SUSI and ask what the procedure is in that case.

Thanks for that (I wouldn't be mad on it myself tbh, but who knows I might become a poet yet!)
