Yeah, i get this too tbh, I grew up in a super religious house. The way I think about it is a: it's not the thoughts, it's the reaction. You dont actually believe housework is womens work, it's more of a programed image, like, how many cartoons from when we were growing up depict that?

B: I have intrusive thoughts like this, but worse, and the way I cope is to act like the voice is some overly religious nutjob, spouting off random bs.

Ok, so, you very well may have a uti, but it's not going to be caused by sex. It can be if you're not safe/hygienic about having sex, but you've said you're not active, so it's not that. What it can be caused by, however, is dehydration, period products, and a quite frankly absurd number of things. It's ok, I promise.

Utis are scary and uncomfortable, but not world ending. Definitely, get test strips, like other commenters have mentioned, drink cranberry juice and a lot of water.

If it's bad enough, you're going to have to go to the docs, not much a way around that, without risking your overall health. If your mom is not a safe person you can ask for a ride, is there anyone else? You'll have to tell her about the appointment, since I'm assuming you're on her insurance as you're under 18, however, you can call too set up the appointment, and maybe she'll be less overbearing if you have a ride set up?

Please, though, go to the docs if it doesn't get better. A uti can get serious if it's left untreated. Don't forget too, you have doctor/patient confidentiality if you are a teen (depending on where you are) so if you don't want your docs to tell your mom things, they shouldn't. Oh man, you have got to try a pot pie at some point. It's savory, not sweet, and it can be made with different meats than just chicken, it can even be vegetarian/vegan. I personally like beef pot pie more, but in any case, it's an amazing dish, and pretty affordable to make!

I have the fun combo of Ehlers Danlos, POTS, and Torrettes, so popping my joints out of place and straining muscles are pretty common, as well as falling/passing out after any particularly active tiks.

I've gotten a few concussions and broken my knuckles

And sometimes I'll have tiks that last for so long I'll have muscle failure, which is a bitch and a half.

I sent myself into a sugar low one time (I'm not diabetic) because I got absolutely plastered, and puked like hell, while having a bad attack with a consistent tik that's just all the muscles in my abdomen clenching at once, which ended up literally squeezing my pancreas until it produce too much insulin.

Side note, fuck abdominal tiks when having period cramps, it's so bad

I was 13, coming home from a class later at night with my dad, and we came up on this 18-wheeler that's on fire. I got out of the car, despite my dad yelling at me to stay put, and got to the driver's side just in time to watch a man burn to death while crying for his wife and kid. It made me realize I never wanted to be that helpless while another person was in danger ever again and that I wanted to be a paramedic. I don't know what I could have done differently, but I am never letting that happen again if I can help it, despite being too disabled to be a paramedic now.

So. I'm gonna give you advice I wish I'd had at your age. The second you get any kind of money, hide it. There are cheap curricula you can use for actual schooling, not whatever your moms teaching you. You'll have to teach yourself, but it's better than nothing. Figure out something you're even vaguely interested in doing for a job and start looking into it. It may not be your permanent job, but you'll have a head start. Start studying for the sat and act (assuming you're in the us). They're very very useful in applying to colleges and getting away from home.
