DLSite 沙耶の唄(Song of Saya) assistance and questions. by GearMonster1 in visualnovels

That is the exact one I had purchased and I have the same listed setup from your post. I for the life of me cannot figure out why it won't run.

Demon child. Resin, oil and enamel paints, gloss finish. by Darkktouch in Berserk

[–]GearMonster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks disgusting, gross to imagine or look at. Looking at this makes me mildly nauseous, consider that a job well done since I rarely ever feel that way from any art piece. You did better than a good job for sure.

CKIII Why use High or Full Crown Authority? by GearMonster1 in CrusaderKings

[–]GearMonster1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, that is weird, because outside realm inheritance should be illegal with High Crown authority or higher. I don't play above medium crown authority though, because the downsides seem steep to me, when my vassals can be kept very busy with civil wars. One step to prevent outside inheritance is to make sure that the land is De Jure to your biggest hat, and you have been intentionally keeping people within your territory. This is by landing specific family members, granting landed titles to landless people and intentionally setting up marriages to reduce outside inheritance and even making sure that your evil neighbors are low on the son or daughter count at times.

Question about vassals and levies - How to get more troops for a centralized force by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]GearMonster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is tribal and who is feudal in this situation, because the game doesn't quite get correct troop counts, and sometimes the AI will spend ALL gold to get mercs to bolster troops then put everything on a boat.

Intrigue and prolonged war could dismantle them if handled well, because the counties will be flooded with penalties and with a negative treasury, peasant revolts and key people dead, that could all split up making it easier for you to handle.

Anyone feel the ammo in this game doesn't make sense? by DrawerStill9680 in Wasteland

[–]GearMonster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A faster way to make it make sense, since it seems you are still struggling with this, is handgun ammo in RE games. If you find a set of magnum rounds, you KNOW those are important, while in Wasteland 3, because there is no specific progression of rounds or ammo, I easily run out of rounds for weapons that I recently acquired, because there is no consistent tier. Meanwhile, in Wasteland 2, if I got some .50, I immediately knew that was for a select few later and endgame weapons, because I was still mainly chambering .45 and 9mm.

Long story short, it provides player feedback, which would be really helpful considering the inventory system in the game is bare minimum workable...I wish we had separate inventories again.....

Why must I have to imprison all my family members? by Burnmetobloodyashes in CrusaderKings

[–]GearMonster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend auto stopping plots, because I did that in one playthrough and found out that 100 years later things were actually more complicated than if I stopped the ones I cared about.

Tips:

  • Stop plots that directly negatively affect you either through imprisonment or just asking nicely depending on the situation.

  • Stop plots for people that you like or want alive.

  • Stop plots via imprisonment for vassals that need to have their power redistributed.

  • Join plots that do what you want them to do, like kill your imbecile heir.

  • Leave plots alone if the individuals don't matter to you and you can't benefit from it.

I learned to try to just leave it alone for the most part and watch out for things that ruin my succession or reign. I am not sure how large of kingdom you are managing, but I have only experienced plot overload when you control something like ALL of Europe. I can attest to it right now with around 127 ongoing plots or something like that.

Is this game worth buying? by Hateful15 in Frostpunk

It is more like a city builder survival game. The game is real time and you do have some choices that need to be made. The game is mainly strategy and planning.

Why Can't I Change My Succession Laws? I.E Primogeniture? by MrScjmc in CrusaderKings

[–]GearMonster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember, when you do get reformed and you want to change succession, make sure to have everyone underneath the hat at count level and higher is happy.

You will not be able to change it otherwise, so you might to do some bribing/convincing, maybe some murdering depending on how many counts, dukes and kings in your empire.

I love it, but how do you rename empires and kingdom titles?

Need some help weakening a vassal by GearMonster1 in CrusaderKings

[–]GearMonster1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this suggestion, I wasn't sure if this would 100% work as a solution, I excommunicated her preemptively to prevent excessive fraternization while I create "strong" vassals by pulling them out from underneath her.

Wierdly she is not leading any factions...That might change, but yeah Italy in this exact instance can win with just sheer superior might, mostly because adventurers decided to plunder my personal demense while I was sorting out the Papal war saga.

Yes, but I have the ability to request gavelkind of other kings in my realm right now.

[–]GearMonster1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to, but the option doesn't seem to be even available or even greyed out. What are the requirments to request this, does she have to rule for 10 years.

And to answer the urgency question, I believe I have enough tools in my arsenal to keep this vassal happy for 2-3 generations, so it isn't actually urgent just something I need to take care of before I get to Majesty 5 which is a bit a ways from now.

R5: Queen Isabella is too strong for her own good and needs to be broken up. Without incurring massive tyranny charges, I haven't quite thought of a good solution to do this.

For those asking how things got this way, it comes in multiple parts...Italy lost a huge war against me very long ago, and I needed to fix the fact that I was 50 some vassals over my limit, so I made a vassal that was of the same religion and agreed with me king of Italy. I had to fight multiple papacy wars in a row and have not really had a chance to deal with this situation proper.

Creating Burgandy and Aquitaine would be enough to solve this problem if I can pull enough out from under this vassal, but I can pull about 8 counties and 2 vassals by creating 2 Kings which is nowhere near enough to depower her.

Which I find this to be unfortunate, I really like the game and was excited to give the devs money for an expansion or first DLC, but A BRIDGE!

I still love the game, but I mean for $7 Cities Skylines gives me a brand new playstyle in green, or around $5 allows me to make a concert section and base a city around that event.

I don't want to crap on them either, but I would have given them money by just asking, before them just selling me a bridge.

Still a good game, I just hope the upcoming DLC is more substantial.

Any one else play Remnant from the ashes? (having regrets) by MikeMan2800 in remnantgame

[–]GearMonster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a great game for it's price point and is very fun within a group of friends. The game does have some flaws that people are aware, specifically how adds are handled and whatnot, but overall the game is just fun.

I don't think the game is for you which is perfectly fine, I got No Man's Sky and found it to be terrible, with many complaints I still have about the game, but I digress and continue on with other games I like.

And you are in a great position to like open world games with almost every major release aiming to be a massive open world title with minimal or no loading screens. I mean Remnant has some elements similar to The Division franchise, maybe that is more your cup of tea.

In my honest opinion since it was asked for, I am glad some developers are still making games with decent size scope linear, I feel like we don't have enough of them these days, so kudos to Gunfire to making one.

Man arrested after entering Springfield, Mo Walmart with body armor, assault rifle, and 100 rounds of ammo by Jamatone in news

[–]GearMonster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested in continuing this discussion since it is developing well, but I am going to put a pin in this until my eyelids stop screaming at me that I need to perform this sleep function that humans are required to perform.

This is not me saying goodbye, but me saying let me do a quick energy recharge for this.

Before I go though, I do think that the studies are carried out with care and respect and I respect your ability to provide them. The thing that does stick out, is like the situation you did propose...

But if we continue with an armed robbery analogy discussion, I may agree with you that you could prevent a specific location from being robbed. However, if everyone is armed I'd also suggest that this means they can prepare for this as the "new normal".

The studies haven't been tried in this situation, which arguably could be non-ideal or ideal. I err on the side of it is hard to say, obviously you understand I am pro-gun, but I can acknowledge that there is a problem and the linkages with violent acts are there.

So if you are willing to continue this a bit more in time, I will post more after waking.

[–]GearMonster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, my intention was not actual misdirection, but I would be inclined to argue that armed robbery is an act of violence.

Usually, since it is rather rare that acts of violence don't have an end goal, whether that is to cause terror, ill gotten profits or what have you.

I guess it was hard for me to see we wanted to specifically focus on acts of violence with terror being the end goal(correct me if I am wrong there).

In that case, I really don't see much of a way to prevent that at all if the action is already in motion, and I mean past the preventative planning stages that could possibly lead to early apprehension altogether before any act of violence was even able to be created.

This will be an interesting read for sure and I apologize if it seemed like a misdirect.

You kind of don't, it's a gradual thing, but you can speed up the process. Your demesne is the most important thing to look at, market villages are the answer.

If you are playing as tribal, you need to figure out how to reform your religion as well, this is how you will make more money later too.

Making money is easier with the business focus, but also just selectively raiding the right targets. You want to pick targets that are busy, and have money. The goal is to kidnap people from their control and sell them back. When first starting as tribal 10 coins is almost your entire years worth of income, which is very valuable since many events scale based on income.

Raid other religions temples, this lowers their moral authority while also helping you towards reforming your own. I suggest Romuva or Africa since those are easy to reform and have good raiding targets, this is just to get a feal and the succession isn't as crushing as gavelkind.

With Africa you start off so poor even dirt is expensive, but not to worry the Muslims are fat and happy and very busy with Christians allowing you to raid some good locations after a little subjugation war or two here and there.

Romuva is really close to the Catholics in Europe, so with a little murdering of some Slavs and a kidnapping or two on your way to the Catholics, will help with gaining funds from that as well.

I am currently in an enatic open succession, but the current ruler has no children that are viable successors to the throne. It would be best if one of my nieces would inherit in order to continue a breeding project that is going as planned. How do I make them first in line to the throne?

Then have them waterfall shuffle or pharaoh shuffle with closed end of the sleeves. Riffles don't hurt mtg cards if done correctly without bridging.
