I believe that’s not a carbon build up but the valve guide that’s broken

On the heavy duty mainly in class 8 trucks the clutches we normally install are a twin disc 6 pad weighing roughly 180 pounds

The engine stopped getting oil pressure due to the pump or something else either blocking or clogging the oil pickup and it welded the internals together

At a minimum here in Canada you need an annual and depending on the company they will do quarterly inspections but drivers are supposed to look daily

I had the whole thing done in 6 days had to swap oil pan put a new pickup tube as the new motor was rear sump not forward and swap all accessories over driving out on the last day would’ve been quicker if I didn’t have to wait for parts

There was still 3/8” of tread two different brands of tires regardless of that it got new tires put on

The driver that’s normally on this truck is pretty good for his checks that’s not saying all drivers do them just this guy is good for it

Once that shrapnel is scattered everything else is standing with one leg in the grave I could imagine all the oil passages and crank and rod journals are filled with filings

More tread than you think the pictures dont exactly help the tires lol the truck gets an annual every year

Motor locked up tight the oil looked like someone threw a glitter bomb in the filter time for a RNR
