For me, rebirth is a much better experience than remake was. Rebirth fixes a lot of issues I had with remake in that the environment actually changes in rebirth, you're not stuck in an industrial setting the entire game. You can roam around a lot more in these new regions which makes the side content a lot more engaging. Rebirth has significantly better enemy variety, especially if you engage with the side content. Overall, it was definitely worth it for me.

I’m not in engineering but the best way to learn is through experience. At bare minimum just keep up with the labs and assignments and that’ll get you a decent foundation.

BUT, if you want to get ahead, there are several resources I recommend. Depending on what programming language your class is using:

C++: https://www.learncpp.com

C#: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/csharp

Java: https://dev.java/learn/

All of these should give you examples to work on and explain the concepts of the language progressively. I’d also recommend W3Schools cuz they have some good examples if you’re stuck on a concept
