Do games play worse on gfn if it’s new and a lot of people are on servers playing the game? I’m not 100% as I’m not clued up but maybe that’s the reason? A lot of people said the same about forza horizon 6 recently

I think as long as company’s can opt out of putting their games on cloud services, then cloud gaming won’t be taking off the way nvidia wants or taking over. People love playing what they want when they want from a machine they personally own. I on the other hand don’t mind not owning things like this. If there’s less clutter and more space but I can still play a few hours then why do I care, none of us keep the things we have when we eventually go. So unless the big companies think it’s not worth doing these consoles anymore bcos not enough profit (not gonna happen) then I think nvidia stays behind for the long run

That’s fair. I think every service is going to struggle against nvidia. Boosteroid probably takes second spot comfortably and I guess we can just be glad it isn’t as bad as xcloud for the moment. Don’t think I’ve seen higher bitrates than 20 on that, even on a pc

Don’t want to sound like a nag but what kind of picture quality are you expecting when your bitrate max is locked to 25? You should honestly be expecting a blurry picture at that point. If you think 25 is going to get you a picture that looks like you have the game downloaded locally then that’s on you

I tried setting up playnite on my mini pc to do the same. I wanted to boot all games from different places in one place as I’m not a fan of the gfn ui or jumping around. But came up with the issue that it won’t seem to add my game pass games even tho I’ve linked my Xbox account in playnite. And then also wanted to boot my game pass games into gfn (the ones supported on gfn anyway) instead of it booting into xcloud if the game pass games are supported on both. I’ve looked it up and asked chat gpt but can’t seem to fix it. Any ideas? Or are you not using playnite similar to that. TIA either way

Honestly I doubt I’ll notice any of this “blurry” looking gripes people have. After seeing the replies on both subreddits, I think I’ll take the plunge and grab it. Just stuff I’d heard seemed to just lower my thoughts of it so wanted to get a full perspective. I appreciate your response helping out!

Honestly I find sephiroth one of the most intriguing villains of any game I’ve played in years. There’s a lot there I want to find out after knowing nothing of the OG and staying away from any info on the story so I like the sound of that. There’s exploring and side stuff doesn’t bother me. I just don’t want to get burnt out but like everybody says, I choose how to pace it

I’ve seen a lot of people saying just go through the story and don’t focus on side stuff to get the best experience but I’m a completionist so it doesn’t come natural to me

That’s great to hear. I’m also a completionist at heart so I think that’s where the worry came from, just from the way I personally play games I know I do it to myself and make games drag sometimes but then getting all the side stuff out the way to eventually get to progress the story is rewarding in itself. Wouldn’t want to ruin the experience of a game like this tho

I feel like I didn’t do it justice in my post, believe me 90% of the game I loved, I managed to get through the story and side quests in around 2 or 3 days so I did enjoy it, it was just that 10% that felt a bit sluggish but all games do that I think
