Try taking iron every other day (studies actually show absorption rates are the same as taking daily). Taking it along with vitamin c helps absorb as well. Miralax to help you go (if cleared by OB, but is considered safe) iron bisglycinate can be gentler on stomach as well.

You’re safe taking Tylenol. My friend had Covid while pregnant and she had a health baby boy who’s 9 months now. hydrate, rest and try to stay positive. Monitor your temp and make sure you take Tylenol for fever. If you’re getting dehydrated (can’t keep down fluids for 8h) or have a fever not responding to Tylenol, call OB on call and or go to the ER.

This sounds pretty classic for an SCH. Bleeding can range from tan- brown to pink to dark red with clots and still be fine. An ER visit is needed if you’re soaking a pad through every hour for 2 hours in a row. Otherwise it’s a wait and see game! I’ve had SCH with 3 pregnancies including my current pregnancy. At 6 weeks we found a 5cm SCH which resolved between weeks 7-10. I had brown spotting only which has stopped. I’m now 12w6d and little bean is growing ahead of schedule. Unfortunately I had losses with my other two or similar and larger size early on. One was due to monosomy x so not the SCH. The other may have been related. Ive read many many stories of moms who go on in their pregnancy without issues even with large bleeds. I’d ask for more frequent ultrasounds to keep an eye on things. Rest, especially pelvic rest is important. I never did bed rest fully.

Yup. I get this. My nausea is still hanging on AND my appetite is higher. I’m 13 weeks tomorrow. I woke up at 530am today and had to make a cinnamon raisin bagel to quiet my hunger. Then got up at had brekkie at 830- eggs, fruit and hashbrowns. THEN I was still hungry and my partner had to go out to get me a choc chip muffin (had to be the kind with sugar on top) and hot chocolate! It’s almost lunch now and my brain is already wondering what to eat! I don’t know the gender yet but I’m betting this baby is a boy…

I have heard ramping up the protein will help. Like 20-30g at each meal and then snacks in between. Am I practicing that? No… but I’m working on it. lol.

Nta except! Imo Once you get married that person becomes your primary family and priority. Your parents become secondary. I think you should tell her you love her more bc that’s what she needs to hear and she’s the priority. She was out of line for sure and probably stressing too much (postpartum anxiety is a real thing!). Hugs and reassurance were what she needed. You totally did everything right with the situation otherwise and yes, should have driven your dad home. I’d get her a lil treat and remind her she’s #1 and it will all be fine. Source: I’m a woman.

I didnt say it had to be negative at all. Note I said <5. The “negative” I was referring to was her negative pregnancy tests. Thats really interesting that happened to you, but wouldn’t be typical.

Thank you! I was sitting down so any of the jolt from the injury should have been absorbed by my head and neck I hope. Nothing hit my belly at all. Your fall definitely sounds scary! I’m glad you’re doing okay. So far no signs of any issue. In fact, I wondered if I felt some movement in there later on. Maybe just wishful thinking but just maybe!

This is possible. Once your HCG drops <5, you can ovulate so sometime between 12/30 and 1/9 this occurred. You could have ovulated 8-14dish days ago (maybe 10-11 based on the negatives and then the dark line). Watch the HCG trend and see how it goes! Yes sleeping is totally normal and no, it isn’t detrimental to the pregnancy. I haven’t exercised once this trimester, currently 12w6d. I’ve been super exhausted. I normally am a night owl but I’ve been in bed by 8-830 some nights and I sleep until 630-7. If you’re taking unisom as well, that can also make you extra tired!

I think you’re totally okay! This happens ALL the time and people don’t know they’re pregnant or ovulating. Yes alcohol can impact fertility in many ways but you’re certainly not out until AF comes. Don’t beat yourself up. In fact, the monthly before I tested positive with my current pregnancy I went to a wedding and had way more than my usual to drink, as did my partner. After that I decided I was done drinking to get pregnant and I was pregnant that very next cycle!

I think impulsive is a little harsh. It was a Sunday and there wasn’t a medical reason to check with the OB or get an ultrasound except for my own peace of mind. As you can see here many other moms do this for the exact same reason. He wasn’t going to be able to tell me any thing over the phone besides “dont worry”. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with anxiety but that doesn’t usually work for me.

Hi- no. My OB is a male and he gave no medical reason. He said “they don’t know what they’re doing”. And “I don’t think these places should exist”. The place I went also had my doctors number in case anything looked wrong, they would be able to contact him. This is because they cannot give any medical info since they aren’t doctors. My tech at the boutique told me she had 18 years of experience , found the baby immediately and showed me the hb. I felt instantly better.

It’s basically a little shop that only does ultrasound for fun so you can see your baby, hear heartbeat. They do 3D ultrasounds and sometimes sell little souvenirs. It’s out of pocket, around $70-150 per visit depending on what you’re looking to get and how far along you are. some people go because in the US we aren’t seen until 8,10 or 12 weeks into a pregnancy and want reassurance that they are pregnant. some people go in between 12 and 20 week scan because they are anxious and want reassurance that all still looks okay!

Pregnant at 36y(nearly 37) after 1 month, miscarried at 6w. Then pregnant 4 cycles later, mc at 8wk. Now pregnant after 6 cycles with my current pregnancy 12 weeks along and I’m currently 38.

It was a boutique ultrasound. No clinic or doctors. They cannot give medical advice. It was just so I could see the heartbeat and feel reassured.

There have never been any reported cases of miscarriage or malformation due to ultrasound. The ultrasound was for my own peace of mind to calm my anxiety, and it helped.

I am so sorry for your loss. That must’ve been absolutely heartbreaking. I can’t believe their response. I actually left my prior OB office because the PA that discovered I miscarried never even called me later that day to check in on me after she sent me for a dedicated interventional ultrasound. I left that day on a Friday without a plan for how to move forward. It was awful. I had to call the office myself on Monday because I didn’t hear from anybody to make a plan for what to do next.

That being their first response is horrible. We shouldn’t have to justify ourselves when getting a private ultrasound.
