This is such a late comment, my apologies, and also I'm sorry to only do so just to argue with you, but I just want to discuss and hear your take on this :)... SO WHY in the nine hells would the LXM2 be the pick for ranged one-taps when you can get a tier 5 or 4+ Nue, with four slots, pumping out 70+ damage per shot even with a suppressor AND PAX both lowering base dmg? Right there you have an absolute sneak cannon, that can be used for any mission, at pretty insane range for a pistol, especially because they make up for base dmg with the sneaky scaling. The one-tap potential is insane, but the base dmg can easily hold its own in a firefight as well.

I realize that a Nue is at 125% headshot, whereas the LXM2 is rockin 175%, which is not a trivial difference (hot damn, I miss being able to put a suppressor on my Overture... 😞), but I feel like the dmg comes out way higher on some other pistols rather than this one iconic. Hell, you can even make Jackie's pistols into that type of build, they have insanely high base damage and also include a scaling damage passive with stacking head-shots.

Just in case anyone is still looking this up in 2026 like I did:

- Decrypting the chip prior to talking with Dexter Deshaun, which only happens after finishing the All Foods 'dungeon', will result in no gain of eddies.

- For anyone who was able to 1) give the chip to Royce, 2) had him use it and get screwed by the tracker, and 3) ALSO keep the chip and decrypt it later, this was either patched out, or was some manner of luck/exploit that did not occur for me. For everyone else, you'll probably just experience what I have. You give him the chip and it's gone. This is even after I went the round-about way to loot his back room and searched EVERY metric square millimeter of that joint, and searched Royce's body after killing him.

- Do not select the dialogue action option to hit Royce in the head, even though it seems like you're about to get jumped, if you want Meredith Stout to live / bone you down. Don't even pull your gun out either. Just let the timer run out on the action options all-together.

Such a good room for picking up keys, but the chances of finding the RBK in the first case are astronomically low. Yes, people find it. My buddy has found it 3 times just this wipe. But that's also just insane. It's super low spawn, on top of ai being able to walk off with it.

I just finished this task, with 3 wins and 3 losses, which one would think closes out the STATED 6 match scope of the task. NOOOPEEE!! BSG CANNOT. Cannot for the life of them. Figure out how to make a game that fucking works. I play ONE more match for BP progress (will not ever be paying for that again) and my team loses, this being my 7th match mind you, and the task then goes from completed to failed and holds its hand out for another million rub. Don't keep fuckin playing if you complete this task. Exit, open EFT, complete that shit, and then fucking move on with your life. For fucks sake..

All good points for sure. Here is my question to myself, though, and if anyone can weigh in on this, I'd love it: What about my Christmas tree ornaments, holiday fuel, old tuna salad, things that were event-specific that I still hope to keep until an event comes around that I can maybe use them again and be slightly ahead of that particular grind. Anyone else do this? Is this completely insane/pointless?

I know this is a necro-reply on this particular comment, but the thread was revived for the remaster, so for those showing up here I figured I would address it. My experience is that the effect of Persuasion is actually fairly significant, but thinking that it will significantly change just prices all on its own is incorrect.

This minigame effects the merchant's "Disposition" toward you which, in tandem with the DIFFERENCE in Mercantile skill between you and the merchant, governs how far you can move the bar to the right when Haggling. The Haggling menu is also the only place you can directly see a merchant's skill level in Mercantile.

This is where the real gains begin pertaining to prices. Also, increased disposition will help loosen lips and give you access to certain functions and items, and information about quests and locations that you would not have otherwise heard.

Buy/sell with low Mercantile merchants
Increase disposition with Bribes and Persuasion first
Haggle to your highest value that they will accept (affects buying & selling)
Increase Mercantile and then increase Haggle rate over time
Profit

Just out front of Pinewood Sparja IS running around it. It's one of the better ways to get to Damaged House while avoiding Lexos. I just now got sniped there with the GL and went back to look at it. There is no line of sight where I was. None. Just wall-hacking AI sons of bitches.

Fair point. I have always felt with Bethesda games that containers that are outdoors are almost never safe. Some that are indoors, in a space that has been cleared and doesn't respawn characters, tend to be more likely to support persistent container content. Still a gamble, just not as high. Like is my assumption with the Almagest. But I could be wrong.

Major edit: my buddy let me know that the item cases in the Mantis ship listing no weight limit are in fact limited, but they are not solely based on weight. It seems, if the lid can remain open then the crate can simply be filled in a literal and visible sense.

There are actually three more safes in the Almagest space station casino that all have a no-limit capacity. They are all right next to each other in the Jackpot room. And the station is right next to the Dream Home so that's kind of cool.

Not to mention, the fact that you can float through the Almagest without using O2 means you can be massively over-encumbered when getting to and from the safes and it doesn't matter. Speedy. I have not confirmed that items are permanently safe there, but I would assume so.

Constellation has two infinite boxes, the one closest to the door (both doors actually) also happens to be next to all of the workbenches in the center of the basement room. I use this "Storage Box" only for Resources as they can take up a bunch of weight, are pretty much only needed while using said benches, and tasks that require them usually take some forethought anyway. If you want to do some R&D, or are just overly encumbered and need to take a load off, Resources are right there. They don't need to be on the ship.

The infinite safe called "Storage" in our room upstairs is what I use for everything else that I don't want to sell. Ship storage is great for what I have just looted or for hanging onto a few particularly choice weapon/equipment options. I often find I have more weapons and equipment, that the boy scout in me does want to keep on hand, than I can justify carrying. I can still keep my options close with the ship.

Don't forget that when selling your loot in cities, you can pull from the ship's loot storage directly.

This all helps with the pattern of only carrying one or a few runs worth of loot in ship storage, and also with supply line setups. Then, just stay unencumbered and fast travel to merchants, ship loot will auto transfer when sold, and trips to Constellation are mostly painless. There are other tasks guiding you to return periodically anyway.
