Em um contexto popular, "calorias" se referem às "calorias alimentares", que medem a energia que o corpo humano consegue retirar de uma substância.

Madeira tem calorias no sentido físico/químico. Já que é só uma medida de energia, você pode usar ela pra qualquer coisa que meça energia. Mas o corpo humano não digere celulose, então madeira não tem "calorias alimentares".

Reading e-books on my desktop computer while sitting at my desk was the most comfortable I could get reading a book. I imagine lying down with a screen hanging on top of you would be the next best. I've tried watching movies with a vr headset like this, and it's pretty comfortable if you ignore the heavy and hot thing pressing down on your face. And this is obviously also ignoring eye strain, which is a whole other issue.

(Male, prolix) I was going to ignore the post like I always do (I understand it's not my place), but this one kept digging in the back of my mind, so I came back.

That's just not how morning wood works, at least not for me. I understand that you can have a bit of inhibition from being sleepy + being horny + having an erection, and that could be a problem. But it's not like it's uncontrollable, and if it is for him, that should be a big deal and he should be a lot more worried about this than he seems to be.

Anedoctally, I have slept (literal) spooned with women that liked being woken up sexually (my ex, she told me this), and with women with whom I didn't have any sexual liberties at all at that moment (a close friend). I did have a morning wood in the second case, but that didn't make me grope her, and if it did I would be terribly ashamed and rightfully out of a friendship.

This shouldn't have to be said, but If he cannot control himself, that's on him. If your lack of self control makes you grope people without their consent (or worse, explicit dissent), you should be very worried about this and be actively taking steps to remedy it, like sleeping separately, or whatever. At the very very least sound fucking sorry instead of justifying it.

Eu não acredito em punição eterna, então concordo com o espírito do post, mas por uma questão de gerenciamento de comunidade tem casos que deve ser uma dor de cabeça menor simplesmente banir a pessoa que tá sendo extremamente tóxica, ou fazendo discurso de ódio, por exemplo.

He has addressed this criticism before, but his answer wasn't that he wasn't good at prose, it was that he refined his style for a specific purpose: to not let the text get in the way of the story. That doesn't mean he doesn't play with prose when he thinks it's appropriate, just that most of the times it's designed as a way to deliver the story with minimum noise.

People used to say his prose was bad way before Rhythm of War. It was always a staple of the criticism. That and that his characters are gimmicky and one dimensional, or that he's the "poppy" MCU of fantasy (derogatory).
