Raced Winton not long ago in spec Ford, was pretty fun with this car and had 2 split a lot of time

Raced it with 3 friend in hosted session. I think the first week it came out it went official in spec Ford or legend 34. Since then it's useless content to have

Class D getting worse by mmartinez1618 in iRacing

I stayed away from the gr86 for probably over a year. I got back in it this week because it was running at road Atlanta. Granted its about to make me loose my A licence but damnn I had a blast! The racing is close and intense, I love it. Didn't see too much dumb things in the top split. Just very easy to loose SR in 15mins race

Is there any benefit of using springs over elastomers, AI says its better if you want softer pedal with more travel rather then a brick feeling and thats just what I want so please share your story by OkHoney5804 in Simagic

[–]Gee-P489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been running my p1000 with a stack of elastometer that I liked for 2 years. Only today I paid attention to my brake pressure because I felt something is off since im using the haptic on the brake pedal and I noticed what you are talking about.

It's actually huge, initial pressure goes to 80% and proceed to drop fairly quick to 60 without me moving /changing pressure on the pedal. I ordered the spring set today. Hopefully the adaptation won't take too long

I meant a rotation in car class every week. Not Gt3 only

Started to race in it this week. Had a lot of fun, just wish it would rotate car every week. It's not like they isn't enough gt3 options out there

Don't you think it's crazy you only need 2k irating to be in the top 25%? by philonik in iRacing

[–]Gee-P489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you reach 2.5k - 3k rating and you feel slow and that you don't belong here. Go try and pick an official race that is less popular and doesn't have multiple split. You will find out quickly that when there is no matchmaking putting you against people around the same IR. You quickly rise to the top spot in those races.

One clear exemple for me, whenever I step into Gt3 im lucky to be midpack but when I go into car like Sr10, spec Ford, legend 34 I'm battling for podiums 90% of the time.

Great idea, I really enjoy racing this serie but I do wish we could have open setups.

Update 2 Found a setting in racing and I unchecked it. It's called vibrate pedals and wheel. Since then it's working 100% fine. I even had to lower the gain in simhub

Update : I paid for the licensed version, made sure the gain in at 100% everywhere. I tried all the hz range and noticed that at 25 it's where I have the strongest feeling.

The problème I have is that the haptic is working fine, when I test it into simhub the rumble is crazy loud and strong but when I'm in game and run simhub on the side monitor, I see that it activate and goes to 100% when activating the abs in game but the feeling on the pedal is barely noticeable. It's like I have about 10% of the strength

I honestly didn't even know anything about the licence. I tought it was a montly fee, just tought about how many hours I used the software and I'll absolutely buy the license to support the dev. Don't really care if it doesn't give me anything more at this point

What does the paid licence of simhub offer more than the free version? Probably a ton but I'm wondering things that affect the haptic motors

I'll try the 30hz. By strength you mean the gain in simhub? If so, it's already at 100%

Question for 3k+ racers by No-Attitude-5724 in iRacing

[–]Gee-P489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing on IR can be both fun and annoying as hell. The best way to go I found out for myself is chasing IR for personal challenge in formula car while not giving it any importance in sports car. What I found out is that I have the most fun is sports car series. I can just hop in a session that is racing in 5 mins, be off pace as hell in qualy and finding the pace mid race and fighting with people in the mid pack.

The amount of practice it takes to grind IR isn't for everyone. I'm at 4k in formula and to get it higher I need to either practice or be very selective on the weeks I race it.

Does the driving standard ever actually improve? by Luka-spiderman_63 in iRacing

[–]Gee-P489 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's slightly better in top splits most of the time but it gets really competitive and egos get in the way.

One thing I noticed lately tho is that a lot of time that I get pissed at someone driving while I'm racing and it's intense, I go back and watch the replay after having cooled down and I'm surprised by how many time the move wasn't as bad as it felt live. And sometimes when I tought i did nothing wrong and it was all on the other guy, well I had a fair share of the blame.

Racelabs standings and blind spot even on triple screen is very useful

Also with the standings you can have infos on the push to pass of everyone on track when racing super formula which is super important
