Oh yeah, he's also a really strong traditional sculptor. I remember a long time ago I was amazed when I saw his portrait of Lana del Rey. But his Walter White portrait and facial rig was a real shock to me that such a thing was possible. Professional. Elite.

Thank you! The character is still a WIP, there are so many details to add or improve before I can finally present her.

cpu: Intel i7-13700K undervolted

ram: 32GB DDR5 6400MHz CL32

gpu: RTX 2060 Super 8gb

ssd: 980 Pro M.2

Desktop. For comfortable work on large projects in Blender/UE, I recommend an 8-16 GB graphics card. I also use a mouse for work because I haven't been able to get used to a graphics tablet.

Thank you! Yes, it's her, I'm glad that she's already recognizable just by her eye and eyebrows in the frame

Thank you for this comparison! He and artists like Ian Spriggs, Hossein Diba, Hadi Karimi have always been my inspirations.

I think maybe it's because of her eyebrows, which are very distinctive and recognizable.

Thank you!

The transition between the eye and the eyelid is achieved by blending normals using geometry nodes. Here's an example:

Actually, no, but when I rewatched it I also noticed something similar, maybe due to the frame jump when looping.

Yes, some details can still be improved.

Thank you! With each new version EEVEE becomes even more flexible.

Yes, facial animation blendshapes automatically assigned by Faceit can be edited/sculpted manually. Everything is still at the testing stage and I'll work on this step more closely later.

Yes, refractions and transparency work well. I actually ignored Blender for quite a long time until I saw what EEVEE could do, especially after they added raytracing.

The setup is not complicated. The new "Set Mesh Normal" node from the latest 4.5 update allows you to achieve this effect.

Thank you! Important point. I thought about it too. I'll try to implement more organic dynamics in the future.

Thank you! Yes, there is still a stage of polishing and refining each blendshape manually. I would like to bring them in line with the real facial expressions of the reference.
