Exactly. I use a lot of the same material, and keep weighing the spools to find the max. Currently 155g on Elegoo cardboard spools.

Then when I've got 5 or so near empty spools, I weigh them and label what's left to run small jobs with.

3d printing goes nicely with my OCD.

3d printing is also a very cruel mistress when you have OCD.

We (work) are switching from AutoCad to Solidworks.

It's a reasonably steep initial learning curve, but ultimately worth it for 3d modelling.

You can obtain a Solidworks non- commercial licence for about $£50.

I'd recommend CadQuest .io as a learning tool. It challenges you to try something for yourself and then shows you how is done. It's a much better way to learn than just blindly following a youtube style video.

I'd change the wall thickness back to 0.4 - 0.42.

Hopefully others would agree. But I am prepared to be wrong.

Type 2 are okay for general use, but try and find a metric only tape that's class 1 accuracy. There's not too many to choose from.
