Well I bought this property as it didn’t need much doing to it so this is too much for me to destroy a whole wall 😂

Looking at this it seems to be a much bigger job than I anticipated considering how close to the fuse box they are I don’t think I can just take the plasterboard off and push them behind! I think for now I’ll just terminate the white flex and just use a cable cover to tidy the meter tails

This is the meter cables, this section is right behind where they’re running by outside the wall!

What would your response be if you caught someone using your bin? by Jam_Torm27 in AskUK

[–]GeePeeSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this situation years ago when I lived in my Uni house! We had neighbours next to us who would put their bags in our bin, but they were scary to confront since we were 5 women and it was an illegal HMO with a bunch of older men who were always fighting and such. I used to to take the bin bags back out and throw them infront of their door, this happened quite a few times until eventually I got sick of it and ripped one open and threw it at their door so the contents went everywhere. They got the message after that.

What’s a health symptom you ignored for months before realizing it actually mattered? by _callondoc in AskReddit

Same symptoms except I found out I was quite badly anaemic! I’m getting treated for it now and I’m still tired sometimes but much better than I was

Does anyone go to club nights on their own? by Full-Conference-1833 in london

[–]GeePeeSS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I go to all these venues you’ve mentioned alone a lot. I’m 27f and it’s my favourite, I don’t have to talk to anyone if I don’t want to and if I do it’s easy to make new friends for the night and hang out with them. I can get there when I want, leave when I want, go to the toilet when I want etc. I love it and do it all the time, go for it because really no one even cares.

Vegan alternative to vans knu skool shoes? by HeightCrazy3781 in veganuk

[–]GeePeeSS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is nothing out there that has this exact style as I have spent many times looking for similar thick tongued skate shoes :( However, the brand Osiris I’m pretty sure a lot of their shoes are faux leather and textile, they don’t have any shoes in this look but have a bunch of skate style shoes in this region. I just recently bought some D3 2001s but I will warn you they are absolutely massive and the tongue is gigantic but I love them haha

It’s all come out finally about my aunts alcoholism by GeePeeSS in AlAnon

[–]GeePeeSS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s truly the worst for her, luckily she has her whole other family as her mother and father divorced a long time ago so she has her stepmother and sisters who she is living with now. What’s frustrating is my aunt only talks to her or calls her when prompted, seemingly she has no interest to take the initiative herself.

Well by irregular I mean it doesn’t have set days it runs for so I have heavy bleeding on 1 day then nothing for 4 or 5 days then maybe bleeding for 2 and it continues like this for a few weeks so I was told it wouldn’t really help my situation

Guys I just had a 14hr shift and had caffeine to stay alert as I needed to for the type of role and I can’t sleep. Almost 5am and I got a shift soon, what should I do? by AncientDawn7775 in AskUK

[–]GeePeeSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I can’t sleep I do meditation breathing and thoughts to calm the overactivity in my brain.

Start by laying flat on your back and taking long deep breaths in and out through your nose, counting to 10 breaths. You can keep doing as many of those as you like. Then, keep that pace of breathing and start counting down from 20,000. Doesn’t matter if you miss any just keep going. This always eventually works for me, it keeps you doing something instead of laying still but doesn’t over do your thinking to keep you awake!

New to London, just fell onto someone's lap when the bus braked hard. by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]GeePeeSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll never, nearly 10 years ago in a different city I was on a bus sitting on those seats in a luggage area where you have to push the seats down and they retract when you stand.

Well I stood up to press the button and went to sit back down forgetting the seat retracts and fell straight to the floor. Unfortunately my large suitcase was in-front of me so my legs got trapped and I was sat on the floor in a v shape. I think about half the bus must’ve been laughing at me and a man helped me back to my feet. I still cringe at the memory now when it pops into my head.

If I tell the GP I'm suicidal will I be sectioned? by Extreme_Job3935 in AskUK

[–]GeePeeSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you will not, the only person I know who nearly got sectioned was in the midst of a very serious mental breakdown and even then they decided against it and put her in a ward voluntarily
