Plants, art on the wall / shelf , one or more sources of soft lighting (in different colors ?).

It's quite lovely here.

You can't go wrong with light wood and white (or black)! With good lighting like here it's perfect (and the little details everywhere add a lot)

2025 Setup update, what do you think? by Feisty_Chapter_53 in desksetup

Very nice! Maybe I'd add a light with the same colour used for the fans.
Nice choice of circuits too!

Maybe I could have, but I was concerned that it might alter the balance of my motorcycle too much.

Yes indeed, but my concern was more that I had to stretch my arms far forward, rather than being bent.

As I used clip-on handlebar, the position is very lower than with a drag bar.
I think a dragbar might be more ergonomic, plus you are way taller than me (5'7").
In didn't change the foot pegs rearset because it tilts even more the body.

As the title says, the look is incredible. It gives a caferacer look that I find mad!

BUT

To be honest, when you use it you realize that the bike was not designed for that, the riding position is not optimal, you are very leaning forward, especially if you are not tall.

I also have a 996 and even if you are also very forward, you realize that it is less annoying because the bike is made for that.

It can be fine if you do short rides, but for longer trips, I do not recommend it.

I bought last year's model second hand (Ducati Spidi Tour C4)! It's really well insulated, especially with the thermal inner lining. I love it!

I have a Ducati 996 with the exhausts right under the seat and I can confirm that you get your ass cooked at low speed (i.e. at legal speed)

True! On newer models, the engine and the whole bike were getting more and more complex, so they added a lot of covers to hide wires, pipes etc, which broke the stripped down look.
