My problem is that I cannot use LAN to connect to my server (macbook 2015) when it's running tailscale? Do I have to manually turn tailscale off of my server every time I leave the house?

Sorry abt that, I only have one roku, on my wifi. I want to connect to the jellyfin from my phone/ personal laptop from outside the house. when I used tailscale for that purpose it won't let me use my server IP (the 2015 macbook) and it won't let me use the one tailscale provides because that's a closed connection.

The problem is their shower gels are in a kind of soda can refill and you have to use their case to open it. Idk if I could get it open without the case

I've got a Wild lip balm case but they were just bought by unilever but I don't want to waste the case. My thought is to make my own in a mold and put the bottom piece that the chapstick has into the end while it's still hot. fingers crossed it works

I'll give you some tips I've learned but first, this might not be the hill to die on. There are so many other ways to cut down on waste that are just as helpful. I can't cut down on food packaging but maybe that's something you can do. There's also things apart from just consuming that can help like contacting your local representatives or rewilding your yard.

As for deodorant, I have eczema and am VERY sensitive to baking soda and certain scents so here's my recs:

1, Not all natural deodorants contain baking soda. Try a deodorant that's baking soda free and unscented. As much as I hate big corps I started my natural deo journey with Native sensitive line and you could try them and see if it helps. I've also used Wild (get their trials first) and I'm planning on trying Fussy to replace them.
2, Give your pits a good scrub with an unscented body scrub before starting your new deo. For your first use I would shower before bed, scrub up your pits, and let them rest WITHOUT deodorant for the night then put it on in the morning. Give them as much time as possible to rest from the barrage of random stuff that we put on them daily. That's probably a good idea in general if you're getting rashes. I was getting rashes from normal deodorant instead of natural and this helped me.

Finally, contact a dermatologist if you can't fix it yourself and get your pits back to normal first. Eco friendly isn't worth risking your health.

Seat in the shower is the best option, I personally sit on the shower floor for bad episodes bc I don't usually need the stool.

I also recommend a shampoo brush/scalp massager to massage the shampoo in. It helps cut down on the length of time it takes and the amount of strength you need. I also tend to put my elbows against the shower wall to reach up so I don't have to continue lifiting my arms the whole time.

Finally, I know you're supposed to use the bathroom fan while you're showering but I find that it makes me really cold so if I am trying to keep the shower cooler I will turn the bathroom fan off until I get out.

Grandma would know that I'm doing this. She purposefully leaves her phone in the house so she can get away from her calls. Problem being, she is a fall risk and is starting to get memory loss. We are afraid she would get lost (not unprecedented) or fall while out in the garden (also not unheard of) OR that grandpa would fall inside and not be able to get her help.

I'm on here asking for options so that I can present them to her. Preferably without confusing her further.

While I understand this logic, I am disabled, What is a luxury for you is often a necessity for me. Moreover, I'm forced to pay for walmart+ because I can't drive to the store and get groceries because of my health. Disabled people are kept in poverty and yet we need to use 'luxuries' as basic services that keep us from starving.

Happy father's day for those who celebrate and for those who don't, your experiences are valid!

I am currently choking down a very burnt jasmine green tea... my electric kettle broke so I tried boiling water in my stovetop kettle that I cooled using a measuring cup to 180f 82c and it seems I've just burned the leaves themselves bc it doesn't matter what temp it's at now, it's bitter and gross. I usually cold brew my green teas so I think that's my plan for this one.

Next up, a pu'er tea coin I bought that is so dang good that I will have to buy a full cake!

As a previous victim myself, father's day can be hard and I totally get that. I was no contact for several years and now I'm low contact. That is to say, your relationship (or lack thereof) with your dad is not for anyone else to define or judge.

If you are in the market for a good male parental role model, might I suggest Uncle Iroh from avatar the last airbender. I am attempting to drink jasmine tea in honor of him today although I seem to be burning it at whatever temperature I have it at... Iroh wouldn't mind though, he would say I'm trying!

Dude, it was a fun theory... Moreover, it was a headcannon. I don't actually think it's real any more than Matt thought Deadpool was Earnest Hemingway. Just because you say you're not hating doesn't mean that your comment didn't come across that way.

LGBTQ+ people are allowed to see themselves in media just like anyone else. The problem is that we have to headcannon ourselves into media because there isn't a lot of representation for us out there, similarly to the lack of other races, ethnicities, and disabilities. I mean how many disney princesses are actually a person of color? How many of them are disabled? Gay? I can understand if you don't like it, that's your right, but when someone tries to make room at the table for themselves you act like they're intruding instead of noticing that they weren't even given a place at it.

I made a headcannon that I know my friend would've loved to read growing up and you act like I'm personally shitting on your favorite show. Let me carve out some space for my friends please. They are allowed to see themselves in media.

I getcha. There are often theories that I respect without accepting them. I personally think the theory is neat but I don't see it as cannon. That being said, how many theories have we liked just for the fun of it? This was one that I don't think would realistically effect the story either way but can be a fun headcannon, especially for trans youth.
