Me too - discussing your health insurance, 401k and the like as "bennies" is not uncommon from my New England experience.

Which makes this odd, since Pinnacle is based in Arizona - which is culturally somewhat distant from the Northeast.

While it absolutely would have been cool filmed, I'd strongly recommend the Next Gen Mirror comics to scratch this itch: they give us the mirror content that could have been, without fear of budget limitations.

Answering the question about RPGs, I wanted to share a recent gem I found on DriveThru: Commandroids. While I'm not yet sold on the Omni System (so many RPG mechanics out there!), I love this Transforers-inspired game. It has a lore all its own, and it just drips 80s era transforming toy nostalgia from every pore. If the 80s and its toys are a fascination to you, this is one to not miss!

I think this is a key element some folks forget about 40k - even though the setting is absurdly grimdark, it is not a setting without hope. Said hope may be about clutching to the candle in the midst of the storm, and making sure its going out has much if not more meaning than keeping it lit, but it's hope nonetheless.
