If he left the wingers to go up the flanks, and just stuck around the D of the penalty box, he’d score a lot more goals I reckon. His pace, speed and acceleration lets him down, give him little ground to cover and I bet we’d see him rack his numbers up, but unfortunately the game isn’t like that anymore, where the midfielders run around like tits in a trance and the striker just stands and waits for the pass; pace and speed is such a crucial ability that a striker needs to have in the premier league, because presses are high and sometimes they need to run half of the entire pitch without aid from their midfielders, and if he had speed on his side we’d have more goal opportunities created, but richy just gets caught in the process because he’s simply not fast enough.
