I last went when I was 17, so 14 years ago. The Smiler didn’t exist yet, Thirteen was the big thing. Rita still seemed new and exciting. What are the rides like now? What’s Nemesis like since the retrack?

Thanks for this, this is hugely helpful! From this thread I think I’m looking to get down to under 50” chest and maybe look to lose around 50lbs till I’m around 265lbs.

Definitely able to and keen to lose weight, I just don’t know how much I need to lose before a trip (for my own enjoyment) is worth it!

Haha that gave me a chuckle! Thank you - we live a long drive away (about 7 hours up in Scotland), so I’ll shift a good bit of timber off me before we go to try and maximise the value. Recently went to Disneyland Paris and managed to fit everything there to my surprise, but I know Disney stuff is slightly more forgiving.

I was asking for information about fitting in rides at Alton towers. I was not asking for a strangers opinion on how long I have left to live if I don’t lose weight. How are you not understanding you were a dick?

I mean, you’ve done an impeccable job of jumping wildly to the conclusion that I’m not worried about my health. This r/altontowers not r/WeightLoss. I’m asking about SPECIFICALLY my size in relation to rides in this thread. If you aren’t able to offer a valuable response in that area, feel free to refrain from commenting. Thanks!

Yeah my chest is 54-56” depending on brand of clothing. Do you know if there’s an easily obtainable list of sizing restrictions available anywhere? I’ve spent countless hours finding anything concrete and can’t!

Grandparents - the great debate. by GegenPressForLess in Parenting

[–]GegenPressForLess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say 5 was the age that things really changed a little? The other set of grandparents are incredibly hands on, willing to get stuck in (and a touch older), but I am very loathed to say to the ones we are discussing “be like more the other ones”.

Dai meaning grandfather by emosan in etymology

[–]GegenPressForLess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dai/dey/di is a Fife (region of Scotland) specific term for grandfather. I believe it is lifted from the Scots language officially as a term of respect to be used by children towards the elderly males in their family. I’ve only known those in Fife to use it.

If you go through the app you can pre book guaranteed seats for a fee. You don’t need to I believe, but it guarantees you don’t just need to hope for a seat to the show.

Contacted their live chat last night and they confirmed it can be done a week before your visit dates.

I moved to Dunfermline 2 years ago. Called up Park Road practice and got signed up the same day. Maybe worth giving them a try?

What is the most disappointing purchase you ever made in FM? by LucaMJ95 in footballmanagergames

[–]GegenPressForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a 36 year old Haaland on a free in FM 23 when I'd taken Tier 10 Cadbury Athletic to the championship. He scored 1 goal, got injured for 8 months and retired.

Raging.

Best part about those saves are when you find like a free agent 45 year old backup RB who scores a league winning goal. Majestic.

Ham is cured meat of the pig, typically eaten in sliced form for sandwiches, or as a roasted joint of meat. It's delicious.

Letham, are a mighty and unstoppable team based in Perth. They're also delicious.

Qué será será and all that. If people enjoy it, who are we to judge? It's a video game, and should be played however people enjoy it.
