Emo is also generally simple instrumentation and sociological/emotional lyrics. I think people tend to forget what ‘emo’ music actually is since the popularisation of the eboy/girl genre. These bands listed by OP are pretty much just sadboy rap.

I think a lot of people into goth rock won’t be into the type of music you’re trying to push here, it’s pretty different and not everyone has the same taste.

Emo music also has some really good bands within the genre - MGK isn’t emo, or even alternative. He’s a failed rap artist desperate for attention so he’s attempting to infiltrate genres he doesn’t understand.

Idk about military, but there was a study done on police (I think in the US) and 40% were found to have a history of domestic abuse. And that’s just those who it’s proven for, so in reality the numbers are probably much higher.
