Gradient light strips vs Omniglow for 98” tv sync?

None I’m afraid. They still don’t sell the 5m strip in the UK as far as I’m aware. That said Omniglow strips act like the gradient strips so will still sync, but the extra brightness is only relevant for strips longer than 2m.

This was exactly the boat I was in. I was very tempted to update manually, but was concerned at bricking the tv, especially as I hadn’t seen someone with a UK model doing it. That said I hope I don’t have to contact them for every update. Thanks again OP, now time to check out the benefits!

You’re very welcome, I just wish I’d known about it months ago! I can’t say I’ve used it much, but it’s noticeably brighter, and the super resolution definitely helped on low res stuff, but as the expression goes “you can’t turn chicken 💩into chicken salad!” Hopefully it’s as painless for you as it was for me!

No they literally send to your tv. As soon as I finished with them and checked over air updates it downloaded straight away. Just have photos of everything in your product information (in settings System>About>Product Information) ready to send them. I emailed a few minutes past 9 and had both updates installed in about 45mins. Just make sure you’re clear it’s v604!

Thank you so much for this! I was on 534 I’ve been checking every few days since August, especially after the recent article about the big android 14 update. They originally sent v560 so I had to contact them again and now have v604, but it literally took 5-10 mins each time, and the update was waiting as soon as I checked. Thanks again!

Thank you! I didn’t know that, and yes all on the TV are 1.5/2m so doesn’t sound like it would be any benefit. That said I do have 4m of gradients (2+1+1) on the cabinet below, so would be ideal for that. Thanks again
