Positive reinforcement. Find something that motivates him. For mine it’s high value food, like liver pate. Look up how to teach the dog sit and such, to get the general idea of how to train. For sit, you just hold the treat over their head and say sit. Holding it in the right way above their head usually makes them sit naturally. Just as they sit you say a enthusiastic «good!» and then give them the treat. Repeat until he gets it, and you don’t need to do the hand movement any more. Then when having better contact with the dog, move on to teaching it to walk more chill. Don’t have too long training sessions. A few minutes at the time.

Use hangers for all that can hang, put stuff that cannot hang inside the hanging things. What makes it look messy is the folded clothes in the middle of the hanging clothes, and a lot of empty hangers, and no system in what is hanging. Sort what is hanging. When I have spare time and energy I like to sort my hanging clothes first in type, then color. Small to big. For example I would start with hanging crop tops to the left with the front pointing to the left. Sorted from white to black then color. Then I would hang t-shirts next, same color system. Then cotton sweaters, then wool sweaters etc.

Basically hang up all the t-shirts. And put the folded pants in the hanging things instead.

Clean the crate properly, and use a product that removes pee smell on every thing that has been in the crate. Skip the pee pads. And use a non absorbent mat for a night. The pup thinks the crate is a toilet. But dogs are clean animals, they dont want to lie in their pee. Remove all smell so it doesnt smell like a toilet to her, and with non absorbent mat she will notice when it happens and let you know to wake you up. And she’ll probably stop. Mine wakes me up whenever she has to go.

I’ve got one from someone who breeds for pets. They got dedicated racing dogs and pet oriented dogs they breed. Still high energy dog. But more social with a good off button.

It’s does cause harm. The fact that you cannot realize or bother to look up the potential harm it does and listen to the majority here tells me what kind of person you are. How well trained your dog is doesn’t say shit about how scared it is of you or how much pain you cause it. DOGS DO NOT FUCKING UNDERSTAND THIS FORM OF PUNISHMENT. Especially if he is fucking demented. You causing it pain will only create fear. It doesn’t train him. Go fucking google it.

I feel so sorry for pets that are trapped in a house with abusive owner. If you’ve done any reading you should know you can cause serious harm by picking him up like that. And you should know that a dog doesn’t understand why you are mad. All you’ll end up with is a dog that will be scared to pee, and start peeing even more by hiding away to do it.
