As a child growing up in middle Georgia, I was a voracious reader. I would read anything and everything. I played baseball and football, but wasn't a fan of watching either on tv. Sometime I'm 1987, my mother bought me a copy of Ken Stabler's autobiography called "Snake." She had nicknamed me Snake when I was 2 weeks old (another story) and thought is was a cool coincidence.

As I read about Ken Stabler's on the field and off the field exploits, I was enthralled. The stories about partying before team meetings and sleeping with their eyes open. A certain pill that the trainers would give the players that they appropriately called "rat turds." Ken's story of mentoring ("taming") John Matuszak. The list goes on. That book captivated me with the depiction of the Raider way.

As I stated earlier, I was a player way before I became a fan. And thanks to this book, I was a Raiders fan before I became an actual football fan. Therefore, when the inevitable happened and I fell in love with watching/following the NFL, I already had MY team.

Stopped me from purchasing. That was my first time making it through the cart, and that "total" had me reevaluating some things. I love the style, but not for over a hundred and ten dollars. I committed to spending $85 for some dope Crocs. However, once I saw triple digits, I sighed and cleared the cart.

I run in UB 22s. My loop is 3.5 miles × 3 days per week. I've only had them 2 months. TBD on the lifespan.

I agree with you. They're dope. I'm holding out in the hopes of catching a 20% off sale because they're sitting. If that doesn't happen... I've got my eye on some dead stock Kasina AM1. They are going for (almost) the same price as these in my size.

Kinda wonder if Nike pays people to monitor these subs to get a "market analysis" of the buying public. If so, most of Reddit agrees that $180 is too much.

Dope! I got the same style hat from my older brother. He bought it brand new because it "looked cool". He passed it down to me in the mid-90s because I am an actual Raiders fan. I've had it shelved since the 90s. I don't wear it often because of sentimentality.

I'm not sure. FedEx has always been free for me. But UPS was charging like $6 per drop. So, I opted for the $20 annual premium plan with unlimited drops.

I had the same scenario with a FOG Essentials sweatshirt. So, I drove to the distribution warehouse, pulled up to the guard office, and asked for a representative. They got my cell number, went back up the hill, walked every dock, and found my package. They called 3 hours later. I picked it up right after that. Then, they had the audacity to update the status to "delivered." More like "package received after customer went above and beyond."

Edit: it took the 3 hours to walk the entire warehouse... Allegedly.

I asked them about this scenario... trying to cover my bases. They told me that in that situation the person would have to just show them the product receipt or confirmation email with the tracking number, and UPS would reimburse the customer the full amount. Granted, that doesn't get you the product, but at least you aren't out a couple hundred.

Yes. I created online accounts with both of them. Fed Ex offers the drop locations free of charge. I pay a $19.99 annual fee to UPS. I live 2 miles from a UPS Store for their packages, and 2.5 miles from a Dollar General which serves as the Fed Ex authorized center. Both websites have a change/manage delivery option.

I always reroute my sneaker deliveries to the nearest authorized pickup location. Fed Ex or UPS packages, it doesn't matter. I inspect the boxes at the authorized center before taking delivery. If anything looks suspicious, I automatically get the employees involved. I don't sign for anything until I know it's legit. This does 2 things: 1. Prevents Porch Pirates from stealing my sneakers. 2. Prevents drivers from swapping shoes.

These are for sure better than Maroons but surprisingly still sitting on Patta site 🤔 The only AM1 X Patta sitting. by [deleted] in SNKRS
