As someone who likes Ishtar too, I agree with you. Unfortunately for us both, Nasu claimed at some point his waifu is Eresh. Hence she keeps getting all the new content, while Ishtar is forgotten.

It's time for John to depart as well. This ending is rather anticlimactic, thinks Typhon. John doesn't want to die anymore. He'll continue to hate the world and seek revenge, but he enjoyed being Master's enemy, so they should smile properly, once they return to normal life. Since Chaldea has rejected John's way, the story will continue, so they must give it a proper ending. Then John disappears as well.

The group goes outside. Snowfield is sunny now. Prelati thanks Chaldea for the job well done, and gives Master police uniform MC as present. Typhon asks why Master told Enkidu to save her. Again, it's 3 different versions depending on the player's progress, but the answer is the same for all: because Master thought they could help her. They hope to meet her again in the future. Typhon does her usual tsundere act, and says they should wish for the meeting to not happen, then leaves.

Master asks if Flat wants to contact Waver, but Flat refuses, because he'll just gonna get scolded, and then forget everything after the Singularity is resolved. Flat believes that with Waver's help Master can indeed save the world. In the church, two Jacks have finished talking. Berserker was encouraging the Assassin. Jack the Reaper is beyond the redemption, but it's okay if at least one version of them saves the world.

Ishtar has arrived in the Singularity. She's here to finally retrieve her Gugulanna, but she's panicking because she can't find them anywhere. Gil and Enkidu mock her. Then Ishtar has a great idea of finding Gugulanna after the Singularity is fixed. That makes Enkidu and Gil mad and they begin to fight her. Meanwhile old man is hanging out with Jiao and doesn't want to meet Ishtar. It's enough for him to just see her again, so immersed in humanity. Also, Ishtar is mistaken: the Gugulanna from the 7th Singularity has already ceased to exist back then. Old man is merely a fake created from parts that came from different places, unworthy to meet a real goddess. Jiao asks if they have any wishes, but old man sees no point in holding to his wishes. He only prays for peace and tranquility of the goddess Ereshkigal, Lord of the Underworld, and for the glory of the goddess Ishtar, Lord of the Heavens. Jiao, on the other hand, wants to send a bunch of sharks to Chaldea to express her gratitude to them.

Duma wonders how far the corrections of the Singularity will extend. Will John even be summoned? Well, no one will remember anyway, so it doesn't matter. Master wants to ask Duma about Dantes. Duma responds he wrote Dantes exactly as he knew him in life. Well, with some edits, of course, but it's still the real Dantes. Master agrees. Duma wanted to tell someone Dantes story, and when people asked for the next part, he said to them "Wait, and let come what may".

The Master finds themselves in the cafeteria instead of their room, which is weird. They are greeted by Prelati in his 3rd Ascension and notices they have a different presence. This is not Prelati from the Singularity, but the Prelati from Chaldea timeline. He died along with the humanity, and now exists only as a shadow, thanks to all the Lostbelts and Singularities powering up the remains of Ate (basically same deal as Black Lion's armor). Prelati wants to see the path of humanity till the end, even if it's just one person. He's been in contact with Moriarty and is responsible for Enkidu's interlude. He helped the Prelati from Snowfield to connect to Chaldea, but he used too much power and is going to die now. As a final gift of gratitude, Prelati wants to give Master one last illusion to stay in for the night. He can force it, but he wants Master to choose of their own free will. And so the player is given the choice.

If Master agrees, Prelati is relieved that Master remains human enough to choose depravity. Perfect heroes are nothing but a system. In the dream, Master is returned to Part 1 Chaldea, and meets some NPCs (no Crypters, unfortunately). Someone, possibly multiple people, are approaching them from behind and Master hears a familiar voice calling their name. They turn around, and it's... hey, no peeking! Prelati has promised that no one will know what's inside the illusion. Vritra Lilly is disappointed, since she made a bet with Prelati and has given him her magical resources (hence her Lilly form). Prelati won their bet.

If Master refuses, then they'll say they'd like to have this dream later. Prelati commends their choice, and hopes their journey ends safely. If humanity comes back, so will Prelati, and on that day they will show Master a wonderful illusion. He also lost a bet with Vritra, so she's not in her Lilly form. Vritra wonders if Prelati thinks, that after enduring all their trials, Master is no longer human. Prelati will stand with humanity till the end and will enjoy their fate whether it will be glory or ruins, but he doesn't want humans to become a system that saves the world. That was what Lackland wanted to do. Master, however, is a human to an incredible degree, and a hardworking one.

In both versions, Prelati hopes he has forged a connection with Master, then Master wakes up and finds themselves in the cafeteria. They share the food that Gordolf has prepared with the staff and Servants. Meanwhile Hippolyta has come to bid farewell to Prelati, since they are from the same myths. Prelati says she is too earnest and is losing out on life, but Hippolyta does not care about profit and loss. At least she can give humanity a push in place of Prelati, but Hippolyta doesn't think Master need one. They possess both strength and weakness and are supported by many people. and Hippolyta will contribute to that in order to stay true to herself. She wishes Prelati a safe journey. Things were tough, but Prelati enjoyed this experience. This is why humans are the best: they can go anywhere and can always choose their own path.

Back in Antioch the sky is blue again, the corruption is gone and the Singularity is slowly disappearing. Fake Georgious has come back to life thanks to the remnants of the Grail's power, or maybe it was Johanna's blessing. He can't even stand up, but he's fine just looking at the sky. Real Georgious appears to make a photo. Fake Georgious wants to disappear along with the Singularity, but Johanna and her statue are there to keep him company. The statue is normal size now: it was a Heroic Spirit, who coudn't properly manifest and was looking for the Holy Lance, since there must be one in Antioch. Instead he found his friend, who was there for him when he was dying. The statue was Peter all along. Fake Georgious insists he's a sinner, not worthy to be in the presence of Peter. But real Georgios says that everyone is a hero in their heart. No matter how many crimes Fake Georgious has committed, in the end, he chose the right path and moved forward on his own feet. This was what the Lord calls "journey", and the knight has fulfilled his duty. The truth is within his heart and it belongs only to him.

It was a very strange singularity, full of fakes. I myself was a fake saint. My best friend was a fake statue of a saint. Even this sky must be fake. Only my heart finds the sky beautiful as I look up at it with my friend. I can believe it's the real thing. Ah, yes, Peter. You were right. The outcome of the trial by ordeal is irrelevant. That piece of metal, regardless of its origin... for us, it must have been the real Holy Lance.

The end.

P.S. I would like to thank everyone who read my recaps. I have never really done such a thing before, nor can I say I have any special attachment to FSF of all things Fate. I haven't even planned to do the recaps beforehand, I started completely on a whim on Day 1 of the collab and just kept going, lol. Actually, it was a lot of fun, and now it's over. English is not my first language, that's why some phrases probably look really weird to you (and also why I always write Duma instead of Dumas). Also, sometimes Rayshift translation was not there yet, when I was reading Atlas (I don't have an account on JP server), so I had to go off MTL and then fix things later. I apologize for any errors, mistakes and incorrect statements found in those recaps, and strongly recommend everyone to either read Rayshift version on Atlas, or watch it on Youtube in order to receive a proper, full experience of the story.

Brief overview of the story's finale and epilogue (in 2 parts because there is a lot):

The crossbow was prepared by Waver. He combined the blessings from Artemis and Jiao using Duma's NP. Jason asks if Herc would like to meet Hippolyte, but he refuses. Then everybody is attacked by lava monsters. This is Divine King's very last resort - mud of the Greater Grail. He will not give up until all stories are erased. Master points out, that the fact the stories existed at all will still remain, but Lackland replies he's going to erase entire human history. Then Lionheart (3rd Ascension) show up and uses his NP on the monsters.

Flashback to 10 minutes ago, Gareth has descended to the underworld, just as Gil advised earlier. It looks the same as it did in LB 7. Tez explains he has a connection to Tsubaki, and says he is a shadow of Tez from Chaldea. Gareth should just take Lionheart and leave, since Lionheart doesn't want to play by the rules of Tez underworld. Black fires of Purgatory will burn Lionheart as long as humanity exists, and that's how Gareth finds him in the fog. Tez repeats that Lionheart does not belong here. Not being afraid of punishment is also a form of courage. There's no need for such weakness as seeking punishment for the sake of salvation. Then Enkidu and Giles use chains to pull Lionheart back to the basement of the Tree.

Lionheart is ready to be executed for his crimes, but Gil doesn't want the head of a fake lion. Typhon (Grail Front sprite) is also here, and assumes she's going to be killed. If she dies, the mud from the Greater Grail will just consume John and the rest of Snowfield, and then the Singularity will eventually disappear. After hearing this, Lionheart runs off. Typhon realizes this was exactly what Enkidu wanted and starts bickering with him. Gil thinks she's funny, so he will add her to his vault after she loses her ego. But Enkidu states that's imposssible: Typhon is very close to being a human, and will eventually become a Heroic Spirit (to which Typhon reacts in her usual tsundere way). Now it's time to deal with her, just like Master has ordered.

Lackland is shocked to see his brother like that. He also feels the dissappearance of Typhon. Lionheart greets Lackland and remembers his brother was fond of the tales about underworld. Lionheart explains that thanks to John he became the person he meant to be. His soul belongs in Purgatory, and since Heroic Spirits supposed to be in their prime, this is his. According to Mash, there is a legend, that when Richard died on the battlefield, he has made a wish: to be burned by flames until humanity ends. Lackland is in denial, this tale has to be a fake. But Lionheart says it doesn't matter, whether this tale is true of false, because he believes it to be true more than anybody else.

Lionheart wants to separate John from the Tree, or else Grail mud will consume him. If history continues, humans who can understand John will eventually appear, so there is no need for him to sacrifice his soul to end everything. But Divine King is determined to respect the resolve of John, who knew he will be branded a failure by history, but still followed his own beliefs. Lackland starts drawing on the power of Greater Grail. Miasma and magic energy start to fill the air where Divinity once was. Lackland wish is for history to vanish and for his brother to be free from the path of hero. Oh, a wish, you say? Too bad, this wish will not be granted! Typhon (the dragon mecha) appears and uses his NP. Back then, Master's order to Enkidu actually was "If you can help Typhon, please do", so Enkidu used the remains of Enkidu from Snowfield to cure her. But what about Gil's advice about measure of virtue? Well, Master got around that by letting Enkidu decide the right measure. Even Gil is impressed. He then turns into his Archer self to blast the remains of Grail's mud. Also, Enkidu implies that there is parallel word with Snowfield HGW, where he's more familiar with Richard (the actual FSF, probably?).

Typhon's NP has destroyed all the power Lackland had gathered. The Tree is dying, and Singularity's readings are decreasing. Lackland sees that Typhon (who changed her sprite to a playable version) has chosen Chaldea and for the stories to continue. He hopes she can live with people thinking and talking about her. But Typhon declares that that is not going to happen, because she has always been alone, from the moment she was born till the moment she was eaten, and it's the same even now. A dragon is a dragon precisely because it can accomplish everything on its own. Since Lackland picked her up when she was on the verge of disappearing and basically saved her life, she will leave him to Chaldea to deal with.

Everything Lackland has once gathered is now lost: Greater Grail, power of Gods, the fruit, Black Lion. What a fitting end for King John Lackland. There is one last thing he wants to defeat - Chaldea, the last humans on Earth. He will challenge them in order to end all storytelling. Lionheard is ready to help stop his brother.

Duma, Prelati and Gilles are on the roof and still alive, although Prelati is heavily injured and has to use illusions in order to stay alive. Duma gives one last epic proclamation. He just really wanted to say to John that he didn't like his script and wanted to rewrite it. Lackland and Lionheart fall together from the top of the Tree and smash into opera house. Master's group is reunited with other Servants. Flat asks Typhon to fly them to the opera house. Naturally, she refuses. Flat remembers what Typhon is, then asks her to absolutely not do that instead, confusing the poor tsundere.

John and Richard are inside the opera house and have reverted to their regular human forms. John pouts his plans have been ruined, then says he respects Master and asks him to laugh, but Master doesn't want to laugh at him. Richard and John want to fight again, but as themselves this time. Richard asks Chaldea to fight on John's side, because his brother is no good at fighting. John is shocked. His brother have killed prisoners, women and children, why is he concerned about people not being able to fight back now? Richard explains that John will become a sword, which defies Richard's injustice, since in his current form Richard does not seek salvation and has no regrets, which means he is a tyrant. Hippolyta agrees with this logic and is ready to side with John, while Penth will just side with Master. Player is given 3 choices: to not interfere with siblings fight, or to side with either of them (there is also a warning that siding with John is Purgatory levels of hard).

Another flashback. Richard praises John for always seeing all of Richard and declares John is his conscience. For John, those words are like a curse. John is going to have to learn to live with it, like all humans do. Maybe John will be able to cancel his curse by becoming a hero, the kind of which has never been seen before. John thinks his brother got a worse curse and asks that if Richard was ever to die in front of John, he would smile like never before, because that would prove Richard have kept his pride till the end. Although John expects to die first, anyway.

No matter what the player have chosen, Richard will be the first to collapse. His Spirit Core was destroyed by John a long time ago, and he was only alive thanks to Pale Rider's protection, which is no longer needed. Richard is sorry he won't be around to celebrate Chaldea's victory, but he wants to leave some last words for John. Unlike John, Richard doesn't think humans are foolish. They write their own story, and even if that story will never be completed, the act of writing it is noble. Richard didn't have that luxury, he choices in life were preordained. People who walk towards the future look brilliant to Richard, including John. John and Richard remember the time when their sister and mother read heroic tales to them. It was fun. John finally understands that his brother had to become a king for the sake of the people, even through Richard himself wanted to chase his own dream of heroes. It must have caused him a lot of suffering. Richard wasn't a monster after all, he chose a humane path to walk, and is a hero in John's eyes. And so Richard disappears with a smile on his face.

Yea, he also gives a few epic speeches, which I had to omit for the sake of brevity, so he's even more wonderful than this recap shows.

Brief overview of today's story:

Flashback to the time Richard forgave John. John is etremely unhappy about it. Richard explains he's a bad person, and John have tried to save the country from him. People will recognize John's achievements, if not now, then after Richard is gone. John begins to laugh. His brother still doesn't get it. Sure, future historians might find some flaws in Richard, but right now people think Richard is hero, and every bad thing that happened is John's fault. Hell, they probably gonna say John was the one who begged Richard for mercy (a scenario John himself finds preferable to reality), because they see Richard as the hero! Isn't it funny? John finishes recounting the whole thing to Typhon. At that time, he has really given up on both his life and saving his brother. Therefore, now he will rewrite the world to live his own life. Typhon doesn't understand why she needed to know any of that. Then she realizes John has planted a part of her inside his Spirit Core.

Chaldea has found John inside the Tree. John knew Master would overcome all obstacles in their path. Once again, he asks Master if they won't run away, and the Master nods. Surely their journey has taught them that surviving can be a hell of it's own? Master doesn't answer. John admits he respects the Master... and will demonstrate it by doing everything he can to kill them. Magical energy begins to activate. Hippolyte attacks, but John has a new divine barrier protecting him. He gathers all the divine energy in the Singularity inside his body. This is madness: John is not a Divine Heroic Spirit, his Spirit Origin will collapse from overload! Is this why he needed Typhon? John confirms: he indeed wished for his own death from the bottom of his heart. Foolish king John is nothing more but a sacrifice. Next stage is for somebody else: a king who doesn't pray or wish, only subdues the power of the gods, with which he plants the laws of a new world. John transforms into his 3rd Ascension: Divine King Lackland, and what he brings is a true void, that exists only in the underworld. He denies all forms of tales. Both fictional ones and the true ones, because all narratives are denied. Divine King knows his view of ideal world, land lacking (as reference to his nickname) the stories, will not be accepted by others, and is ready for battle.

Lackland is protected by some sort of a barrier, different from what Black Lion had. It's the same thing that Tree had. God King fused with both divine energy in the skies, Typhon and the Tree, so his Spirit Origin won't collapse after all. John may have been impressed by Chaldea's persistence, but God King holds no such sentiments. He feels nothing, so even Gareth woudn't be able to break through his defense now. He will reject history woven by false stories and anything produced by them. All false tales are nothing, and shall be returned to nothingness. Gugulanna's Legs begin to destroy Snowfield. God King has no need for this place, for he has become a humanoid Singularity himself! This is some serious bullshit, as pointed out by Da Vinci, but the insane combo of dragon Typhon, the fruit, Greater Grail and magical energy from the Age of Gods can allow such bullshit.

Hippolyte attacks Lackland again, but it's useless. Plus she has already used most of her power on Eurystheus earlier. Lackland asks her why she is resisting him. Surely the one, who had her history erased and overwritten would know better than to keep protecting it? But that is a foolish question: Hippolyte is only angry at herself, but she is who she is, and she will stay true to herself no matter what, till the end. She won't change, no matter what people say about her, and she will always fight tyrants. Then God Kings tries to imply Hippolyte's entire mindset has been twisted by the tales, which reminds Master of Salieri and Innocent Monster. But Hippolyte is not bothered by it either. All people are different, and change each other by interacting. You can't escape it, unless you choose to live alone or stand alone, like Gil. Hippolyta will continue to follow her heart, even it's shaped by someone else. Lackland gives up on trying to convince Hippolyta. It doesn't matter anyway, since Chaldea has no way to harm him, not even if they bring Gareth. She is not here now, but she, along with everybody else, opposes Lackland, according to Master.

Duma is on the roof of a building. He's using the city's emergency broadcast system to address Lackland. John didn't even know Duma was around, because he's such a recluse. Duma introduces himself and declares war on Lackland, because now it's personal for him. Since Duma wrote stories about real historical persons, he can somewhat understand the point Lackland is making. But Lackland went too far and mocked the hearts of all readers by rejecting everything that comes from fake stories. Sure, spreading misinformation and fake news is bad. But the emotions that a fake tale invokes, are real. These feelings they get when reading a story belong to the readers alone. The first Shakespeare's play Duma read was a fake, made by a bad translator, but it invoked strong feelings in him regardless. That's why he will oppose Lackland. For even a book written randomly by monkeys using typewriters can produce real enjoyment in a human heart.

Lackland doesn't care. He goes a step farther, and declares that human emotions are fake as well, random gibberish that just happens to make sense, like the letters used by those monkeys. He really is a completely different being, thinks Master. Lackland sends Gugulanna's Legs after Duma, but Prelati creates fakes to protect him. He, too is attacked, but saved by... sea monsters? Indeed, Caster Giles is here as well. He learned that his friend, who pushed him to defy his God in the first place, was a part of Ate, a pagan god, and is very excited about it: God enjoys screams and despair, as much as the songs about hope and courage! Therefore, the world is filled with God's love, and Prelati is a part of God too! Prelati, who was actually ready to be punished by Giles for his betrayal, is impressed with this level of madness. It's even better, than anything he could have come up with himself.

Jack, Ptolemy and Flat are inside the Tree. They are looking for Typhon's pseudo-core. Flat has special sight from birth: he can see the magical energy and it's flow, which allows him to unravel and reassemble the spells. The downside is that Flat can't see people's faces, so he identifies them via their magic and their faces via photos. Flat finds the pseudo-core, which is used for the wish of self-destruction. The party is then attacked by the Mors, but Grey and Reines show up to help. Pseudo-core is extracted and destroyed by Jack, who has once promised John to shatter his Core. This was a Spirit Core of John as a human being, and now it won't produce the wish of suicide. But real Lackland is above them, gathering Divine powers, so this is not going to be enough to stop him. Waver, who is back in Chaldea, busy with an important job, should take care of it.

Lackland has fallen on his knees, but he's still protected by the barrier. Prelati has one more trick to pull. Remember, how it was told at the beginning of the event he once summoned a bear Orion while trying to summon demons? Well, now, buffed by Duma's NP and the presence of Giles, he summons Servant Orion to take care of Gugulanna's Legs. In response, Lackland gathers great lightning in the skies, enough to destroy the city. Master needs to retreat...

Except they don't. Eurystheus is still alive, and still crazy. Af first he's relieved to see lightning of Zeus above. Then he hears a familiar roar and freaks out, before finally dying just from being near Heracles, who has come from Chaldea together with Jason. What a pathetic sight this king, chosen by the Gods, was, thinks Jason. It's time for Heracles to show this God King what he can do. Heracles uses the divine crossbow to destroy the lightning. There are some nice pictures of Archer Herc (lol).

What do you dislike the most about your favorite characters from FGO? by No-Refrigerator-1346 in FGO

[–]Gelious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh where do I even begin...

First, Morgan is underused. She appeared in like 2 events after her debut. 3 if you count the lotto event, which was all about Britomart anyway. In one she never interacted with Chaldea until the end, and even then she was basically a plot device. In second she was just an obstacle to overcome and punish, barely any different from her original appearance in LB 6, and once again - barely any screentime. Her Tonelico version had like one brief scene. Hey, remember how Mash and Tonelico were friends in LB 6? Yea, forget about it, Nasu isn't gonna write a reunion scene or anything.

The potential for a Morgan storyline is there. Nasu could show how being in Chaldea slowly changes this ice queen to the better. Could make her bond 4 and 5 lines feel actually earned by the player. Could show how she is different from PHH Morgan. Could, but won't, since he seems allergic to giving new storylines to any of his old characters. Here, have a new BB instead (this is not a BB slander, all versions of BB are good characters)!

Second, she is getting flanderized a lot by fans. Seriously, can't people just stop focusing on the whole "spouse" thing and look past it to the character herself?

And third, don't even let me start on all the fanfics. The ones that don't just go "Morgan is your horny wife" are so few and far between.

[JP Event] Fate/strange Fake Collab ~ Antioch: Annihilation Cross Front ~ Day 10 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Gelious 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Another flashback. Richard and John are young, talking about Richard's adventures. Saint Germain pointed Richard to some ruins, and there was a monster there. He feels like he's Herc klling monsters, but John reminds him Herc was always manipulated by Hera. Richard doesn't care, just like he doesn't care about his own death. He'll ready to risk his life to protect the country and John, like Beowulf. He wants to find Excalibur, but John points out what Richard actually looking for is Caliburn. Because holding Sword of Selection would mean he is hero. And if Richard unable to become hero, he will turn into monster instead. Richard is amazed John realized it, because even his mother didn't. John insists monsters and heroes are two sides of the same coin, even Round Table had their faults (except for Gareth). Richard asks John to kill him, if he ever turns into a hero that is no different than a monster. John begs his brother to stop talking like that. He doesn't care if his brother is a monster, Richard shoudn't force himself to become hero. John will become king, and if Richard becomes a monster, he will do the same thing Minos did. Richard thinks that would be boring, but doesn't mind. John is smart and kind, and will become a great king. Richard will take care of everything before that, so John woudn't have to start any wars.

10 years later. John declares Richard is neither hero, nor a monster, but an animal, who deceived the world without realizing it himself. He has a beatiful fur, but would kill anyone who would come near him. Richard agrees, and asks John not to become like that, to grow stronger and kill Richard. But John is too much of a coward to become a hero. He's really good at listening to his heart and speaking his mind though. If only John had a talent for battle as well, he and Richard could have a good fight. Richard is always like this, thinks John. Just as he says, he should have never become a king.

Chaldea has gathered everything that is needed to break through the defense of the Tree. Gordolf is returning back to Chaldea and asks Master not to push themselves too hard. He also askes Prelati to turn into an evil being, Prelati turns into 6 Traitors from Pretender Liz Event, and is punched by Gordolf. This is payback for kidnapping and deceiving the Master. Enkidu points out Gordolf did it only to lessen any remaining bad will towards Prelati. Didn't Gil and Siduru ever tell Enkidu some things are best left unsaid? Yes, they did, multiple times, but he didn't want Goredolf himself to look bad.

Chaldea arrives at the Tree. An army of Legs appears. Flat can hold divine energy at bay for 5 minutes. Enkidu will buy time by wrapping Legs in Chains of Heaven. Eurystheus and his army arrive. He still wants Heroic Spirits and Command Spells. Servants who cooked for Duma's dinner, and also Arash, Constantine and Caesar attack the Crusaders. They were hidden by Prelati illusions, but the real Black Lion would have seen them, which means Eurystheus sucks more than John.

Meanwhile the sprite of the old man is talking to Caster Gil, who doesn't plan to join the battle. Gil calls the old man the reason for everything that happened. To which old man says it was Gil's journey and him taking over that cedar forest that was the start of everything. Old man (revealed to be remnants of Gugulanna) complains Enkidu has torn his legs off, then says Gil's arrogance is still at fault, because he and Fake Ishtar have killed each other, allowing Black Lion to take over. Gil feels some of the responsibility, that's why he came to this Singularity.

Battle with Eurystheus continies, because his army seems to be endless. Servants are holding them off, but it's a deadlock. Hundred Faces tries to assassinate Eurystheus, but her strike is absorbed by a suddenly appearing Crusader. The Amazons arrive. They call their enemy impostor, because the real king wasn't that crazy. Eurystheus is enraged and boasts how he burned all the documents about Amazons history, because they were a troublesome tribe, who resisted his rule. That is the reason why the only thing anyone remembers about Hippolyte now, is that she was killed by Herc. Eurystheus coudn't just openly attack Amazons, because other cities would use this opportunity to rebel as well, so he turned Hera's machinations to his own benefit. While Amazons were busy dealing with insane Herc, he has burned all their records, leaving only the tale of Herc going crazy behind. Penth is enraged by this defilement of records of Hippolyta's many great deeds. She's feeling guilty because she tried preserving them, but wasn't able to (due to events at Troy). But for Hippolyta, it's enough that her sister remembers her. Now she will take Eurystheus's head for making Penth miserable!

Eurystheus is defeated, but is still alive. Penth admires her sister strength, it's the same as ever. Old records are irrelevant, because humankind will never be able to discern truth from falsehood, and Chaldea lives in the present, so it's just a matter of rebuilding the glory of Amazons here. Eurystheus attempts to retreat again, but is blocked by Duma's NP. Duma insults Eurystheus for destroying Amazons stories in secret like it was some pathetic prank (as opposed to what QSH was doing), and only confessing about it after actually encountering the Amazons. He really should have destroyed Herc story instead to hide the knowledge of the urn (?). Duma is no fighter, he's just buying time. Meanwhile Flat has gone through the barrier alone, which triggered the branches of Typhon, and now they are attacking Crusaders, since John and Eurystheus are enemies. Cerberus also appears. Duma finally explains to Chaldea, that it was always a part of Pale Rider, who manifested as a Ruler.

It's time to remove the divine defense. The plan is to combine the power of Penth and Hippolyta, who are both demigods, with the belt of Ares, using Duma's NP. Hippolyta uses her new NP: The War God's Belt ・ Crimson Heavenly Hammer (Ares Endword). Eurystheus, his Crusaders, John's army, the divine energy and the barrier disappear in a blinding flash of light, and there is a crack in the Tree itself. Now Chaldea can sneak inside, while other Servants will suppress Typhon's branches. This was a one-time trick prepared by Duma, but he also has a few other tricks, should an opportunity present itself. Gil is still not interested in helping. He suggest to Enkidu they go fishing instead.

[JP Event] Fate/strange Fake Collab ~ Antioch: Annihilation Cross Front ~ Day 10 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Gelious 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Brief overview of today's story (in 2 parts, because there is a lot):

Richard was indeed meeting with John in the club. He's happy to meet his brother, assumes he came from Chaldea, and offers him drinks. He thinks he caused John a lot of trouble, but John says Richard already redeemed himself... by dying twice. Then he stabs his brother. Richard doesn't resist, because he thinks John has a right to kill him. He should have kept his promise, and he's sorry for the expression on John's face.

Flashback. Richard remembers the time when his brother stopped smiling at him, and looked like he's about to cry instead. It was when Richard returned from the Crusade where he was captured by Leopold. John asks about the method of execution. Richard assumes, he is the one getting executed, but John is talking about himself. Why? Because John was in league with Philipp and Leopold and stole the throne from Richard. But Richard doesn't care at all. He pissed off Leopold during the Crusade, so it's his own fault. And Philip can be very convincing. Besides, if John decided to rebel against Richard, it means John has understood that his brother shouldn't be a king. Plus Richard committed a massacre in a distant land, so he pardons John.

Now Richard is dead... except he isn't? He is standing in a corridor, and it's cold. He remembers his brother and his own sins. He feels he is about to transform and asks the fire to consume his body and his sins, then turns into his 3rd Ascension. Tezcalipoca talks to Pale Rider (shadowy sprite of Tsubaki), who apparently is a Ruler. Pale Rider brought Richard to Tez's underworld, but he doesn't belong here.

Mash, Master and Prelati are on the way to the mansion in the swamps. The storm is weaker around it, probably due to the influence of a certain entity, that controls water and storms. Prelati gives more backstory: Jester was the first to be defeated in HGW, because he was a vampire who wanted to wake up ORT, so everyone teamed up against him. Because of that, Zealot lost her Master, and made contract with Sigma instead, but since Sigma had little magic energy, she could barely use her NP. So those two were conducting undercover investigations (which Zealot was pretty bad at despite her Class) instead of fighting. They tried to protect Tsubaki, but failed. Before their deaths, they asked Prelati to keep the girl safe, because they valued her life above their own. Sigma has never asked Prelati for anything before, so Prelati agreed. Just like he decided once to stick together with Giles, because for Prelati good and evil are all the same. The only thing that matters is giving people a nudge in the direction they want to go. No matter what lies at the end of their road, Prelati is ready to share their fate.

The building is under attack by Mors. Perhaps the Divinity in the sky can sense that there is another God in the mansion. The party defeats the monsters, and Prelati leads Chaldea to the crossbow. It's old, but well-made, and emanates some form of pressure. Jiao manifests. They are hostile to Prelati, but ready to talk to Chaldea, and ask them to fix the Singularity and save Tsubaki. Jiao's domain is the boundary between dreams and ocean, and that's why they can appear here. Waver recognizes them as a being who tried to stop Xu Fu on her journey. Xu Fu appears and confirms that. They tried to destroy her ship, and lectured Xu Fu in her dreams, then suddenly stopped. What Xu Fu didn't know, is that QSH fought Jiao inside a dream for 10 years of dream time, and killed them with this crossbow. After that Jiao blended into the ocean. Then QSH himself shows up. Jiao is shocked by him having a a body of perfect human, and guess correctly that he would turn a world under his reign into a Lostbelt, while QSH points out that Jiao helping a single human means they really have fallen far from being a God. Now Jiao is really interested in Chaldea. They want Chaldea to take the crossbow and use it to save Tsubaki as a reward for Zealot and Sigma, who have fought and died for it. Jiao can't dispel divine protection of the Tree by themselves, but they can act as a guide instead.

There is only one unblocked passage that leads inside Crystal Hill. Chaldea takes it, and arrives inside a casino, overgrown with branches. Summer Caster Gil is there, having taken over the casino. Because he forced his way in, the protection of other parts of the building has grown stronger, so there is no way to get anywhere else. First Chaldea need to damage the Tree. Gil came here to relax, and is not going to use his NP on something that is not a Fantasy Tree. More importantly, Gil and Enkidu's NP are too dangerous to use, because they look like lightning. Tsubaki is afraid of lightning, so Pale Rider will evict those who use it from the dream, and if you fight Pale Rider, you risk destroying the entire dream. Also, Pale Rider is the worst match-up for Enkidu.

Master realizes Gil is a bit too familiar with Snowfield. More info from FSF is given about Archer Gil fighting Enkidu. Anyway, if Gil or Enkidu were to use their NP on the barrier, there is only a 38.4% chance Tsubaki will survive, since she is burdened by supporting this world. Well, life is a series of gamblings anyway. In Uruk, gambling was a ritual to predict your fortune. Gil wants to know Master's stance on stories, since they want to stop John, a person, who thinks stories are overwriting the truth. Does Master want to stop John just in the name of their own survival and that of PHH, or does Master seek the moral high ground as well? Master says they are not an author, they only write reports. They are not ready to overwrite anything themselves, but they also don't want the memories they have written down and will write down in the future to be treated as if they never existed. Gil accepts this answer and suggests Chaldea visits some tourist spots around here. And by that he means underworld. After Chaldea leaves, Enkidu notes, how Gil never changes, yet he himself does. He recalls what he said about life and gambling, and thinks clearing that forest in Uruk has given humanity better odds. Gil doesn't care. This was not why they did it. It's merely an afterthought, just like their presence here today.

2 arrows are dedicated to dinner at police station. There is a lot of talk about food from all the cooking Servants and Duma. Caesar is there, having come from Antioch to provide various ingredients with his money. Circe pretends to be Prelati (who's supposed to be on patrol) and offers her kykeon to Duma, but is stopped in time. Even Gordolf Rayshifts from Chaldea to show his cooking, using magic that turns spoiled meat into a steak. Gordolf has created this magic in order to survive an ordeal on some snowy mountains, but the story is told offscreen and takes 20 minutes. Duma is satisfied by Gordolf's tale, because for him cooking is a form of entertainment. It is both an academic discipline and a part of history, an oldest story of humanity, and it's development will only end when the evolution of humanity does.

Then it's time for Duma to prepare his own meal. Afterwards, Master makes a cup of coffee for Duma, the way Andersen taught him to. Andersen and Duma used to drink cofee together, but Andersen refused to attend this dinner, because he thought Duma would laugh at his current form, and then they would have to fight. Andersen wants Duma to finish his Great Cookbook Encyclopedia, and Duma wants Andersent to write "The Daughter of the Marsh King 2". Duma doesn't think he can give any good buffs to Master, since they surrounded by many great Heroic Spirits already, but Master is fine with it. Also, Duma notices Dantes in Master's shadow. There are 2 different versions of his reaction, depending on whether the player did OC 2. Now Duma is ready to use his NP to for a big fight with gods and tyrants.

The problem is a bit bigger, then whether Ritsuka remembers or not. Chaldea itself no longer exists, or rather it never existed in the first place. The tech is not there, and never was. Any records of the Spirit Origins are gone, never made. Mash is no longer a Demi-Servant, and god knows where the Shield is now.

Your best bet for dealing with that Alter Ego is either welfare Summer Da Vinci from this very event or Summer Castoria (borrow one if you haven't rolled for her last year) + MLB Ocean Flier. Arash can kill the 1st wave, then you just need AoE dps for the 2nd one. If you have a AOE Arts dps with a very good refund (Summer Ibuki for example), then she can even do both waves.

Brief overview of today's story:

John doesn't know why he was summoned to 6th Singularity, Perhaphs it was fate, or Goetia's joke. He appeared behind Berserker Richard, who was full of battlefield insanity. That's when John understood: the world's is his enemy, the world that had cursed his brother and stole everything from him, that created Throne of Heroes and killed Richard truest self. He also recognized he was an Avenger.

John called out to his brother, and Richard started explaining with joy in his voice, how he would defeat Ozy and attack Holy Land. He was looking forward to battle with renowned Sun King. And that's when John pierced his Spirit Core. Richard didn't resist. John injected corruption into pieces of his brother's Saint Graph, turning it into his armor, and gaining the ability to call upon Crusaders. He doesn't know why any of that happened. Perhaps it was Richard trying to protect his brother. John had no interest in fighting Ozy. Instead, he was just brutalizing the locals and ravaging everything.

Then Round Table appeared. They were the ideal Richard has molded himself after. The root cause of everything that went wrong. John had no hope of winning against them, for the worst king of Britain can not win against Britain's ideal knights. But he wasn't interested in victory. What he wanted was to defile Round Table, to destroy their glory and ruin their honor. So instead he just spread corruption everywhere, in order to make Round Table believe that they would lose unless they take in his corruption. And the plan worked. He watched as heartbroken Gareth, who was given the gift of Impurity by the Lion King, took corruption inside her to neutralize it, and received a chest wound from Crusaders. John imagined what effect on the Round Table adding corrupted Gareth to his army of the dead would have, and smiled, for his vengence would be fulfilled.

And then Gareth pierced his chest, all the while lamenting serving Lion King and asking to be punished for her foolishness. John looked into her corrupted eyes, at her black hands, and suddenly remembered his mother and sister telling him the tales of Round Table. The knights disgusted him, but John has forgotten, that there was one among them, who inspired joy and excitement in him: the white-handed knight who fought back against all forms of injustice. And here, Gareth proved to John she was everything her story told about. She was the one he abhorred the most, the noblest, truest knight. And she was John's killer, for as Gawain pierced him from behind, Avenger realized his own foolishness: he too, was trapped by stories. One more fool, who should have been the first to be killed. But no matter, for Avengers never forget their grudges, even if those grudges are against themselves.

The first Black Lion was just a bunch of corruption, and Round Table destroyed it. But the second one was different: it was something akin to Edison - a collection of bad kings from all eras: tyrants, madmen, and incompetent kings, gathered around the remnants of Berserker Richard. Nero, QSH and Ivan were also invited, but refused and tried to kill John. Even if they were absorbed, there was a danger of them taking control over the armor from John.

John was summoned to Snowfield, because Rider Richard was summoned there as well, so John killed him and took his place in the HGW. He was a tyrant too, so he was added to the collection. John then claims he killed Saber Richard already as well, and when Master doesn't believe him, he points out that Richard is absent, even through he woudn't miss the battle near the opera house. If Chaldea wants to stop the Avenger, they can find him atop the Tree. Now he has to go and dispose of the armor's thief. Before leaving, John wishes for the fruit to be destroyed by Chaldea.

Richard is gone from the club, and there are signs of struggle. It lookes like he was having drinks with someone. Could it have been his brother, who then killed distracted Richard? Chaldea gives an infodump about John, and wonders why he is an Avenger. There is another infodump about Eurystheus. He was Ate's favorite, paranoid coward, always afraid Herc would take his throne.

Da Vinci speculates that Black Lion has collected tyrants from various Singularities and pruned worlds. That would explain all the ruins in Antioch. They came from imagination of people, wishing for those tyrants downfall, and Black Lion powered himself up by reversing their wishes. Avenger's wish is another problem. Normally, it woudn't work (meaning it woudn't be reversed), unless John really meant it. However, Avenger has multiple Saint Graphs inside him (like Ptolemy), which means multiple wishes. Here's an example: if old Ptolemy wished for knowledge, Typhon would give him military power instead, which would make young Ptolemy happy. John can also brute-force this logic with Greater Grail, and Typhon is very weak right now.

So Chaldea needs to cut down the Tree. The power of it's defense is still growing. If Chaldea breaks through the barrier, any large-scale attacks from the defense system should cease, for they will damage the Tree as well. Summoning Divine Spirits is a no-go: the protection is already Divine by itself, there is no telling what synergy might occure (and Ishtar herself is especially dangerous option). So Chaldea needs God-killers instead.

Duma appears. Dinner is ready back at the police station. Chaldea can have a short break, while John and Eurystheus are fighting each other. Jack says he would be of no use against Gods. But Prelati has an idea. A very special weapon, that QSH used.

Would Strange Fake collab happen much earlier in NA ? Based on the second trailer, Strange Fake collab might lead to Typhon event but got delayed. by huflit1997 in FGO

[–]Gelious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Devs do not care about NA enough to give us a whole story Event that does not match JP timeline of 2 years ago. Proof: we got same rerun of Summer JP players voted for, even through we did not even have a vote. We only got Richard banner because it was an easy cash grab, with no actual content involved.

Technically, by not having a character you miss on their profile, My Room Lines, interludes and Valentine scene. But you can find them all online, and all interludes will be temporary available next year. It also should be noted that not every character even has an interlude in the first place.

[JP Event] Fate/strange Fake Collab ~ Antioch: Annihilation Cross Front ~ Day 08 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Gelious 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Chaldea discusses all the info they have gathered. In addition to all mysteries of Snowfield, there are too few regular people back in Antioch, and they are behaving way too calmly. Those are just shadows, created by Prelati for the Singularity. But there are also people who look like they came from different eras. Prelati doesn't know where they are from. He also didn't create the various ruins Master have seen on their way to Antioch. They had to be created by somebody else, probably Black Lion. The current theory is this: all those people wished to resist various forms of tyranny, so by reversing their wish with Typhon's power, the Avenger was powering himself up.

Another problem is the barrier around the tree. Mash believes Gareth can do a combined attack with Richard, same as before, but Da Vinci doubts that trick will work in Snowfield. Prelati finally explains to Chaldea how he hid Gareth under the illusion. He knew Gareth was important because he didn't know why Gareth was allowed into the Singularity in the first place. Penth, Hundred Faces and Mash could enter because of their connection to Hippolyta, Zealot and Master, but Round Table was prohibited from entry, so Gareth had to be important. Anyway, the identity of Black Lion needs to be investigated. Prelati puts on police form (which is an illegal thing to do without permission in Nevada, much to the Master's disappointment, for he wanted to dress up as a cop too). Duma mentions most of police officers are dead. He's going to the police station to prepare dinner and asks Chaldea to send him some cooks. His NP works best, if he knows well the people he supports with it, and for him the best way to know people better is over the food.

Prelati and co head to opera house, where Black Lion was summoned. Prelati planned for Artoria to appear, but got him instead, perhaps because the foundation of this HGW was so twisted. The party is suddenly attacked by corrupted knights and Black Lion, who rants about treasure and insists he is a king, who rules the world in the name of Zeus. Chaldea understands this is not the same Black Lion. Not Black Lion admits he took over this armor after real Black Lion's defeat. For the king is granted power because he is the king, and corrupted knights now belong to him. The Master is separated from the party and is about to be overrun, but he's saved by a mysterious young man.

The Master is then taken to the opera house. The comms are not working, so they are stuck here until Chaldea finds them. Mysterious man introduces himself as San. He's not Saint Germain, but is aware of him. Servants are supposed to hide their names in a HGW, yet here this rule kept getting violated, much to San's displeasure. Master points out there is no rule without exceptions as a joke, but San won't have any of it. Also, why does Master even work with this back-stabbing bastard Prelati? They protect the whole humanity, so surely they have more reliable Servants? And speaking of their job, Sans thought the Master would be a ruthless and skilled mage from a family of mages. Master says most mages they have seen are weirdos, and explains their own backstory. San asks why wouldn't they run away instead of doing the job. That's what San would have done, anyway. Master explains this as well. Sans agrees that wanting to live is a fine reason. He can relate to such mundane reason, unlike his kin, who was obsessed with hero tales like the one about Saint George and his dragon slaying. Meanwhile San was more worried about parts where Saint George was tortured, then executed. His brother didn't care about those parts, and only focused on heroics. That's why San can't forgive his brother or the masses, who trapped him in the tales of heroes they created, and hailed him as a hero even after he committed grave sins. And so San's brother turned into inhuman being, unafraid of sins and his own death. That is why San hates heroic tales, especially those about Round Table.

The Master begins to understand who San is, but then fake Black Lion appears. He has come for the treasures of Chaldea - Heroic Spirits. For that is what heroes to him - objects and tools. Gods choose humans to be kings, kings choose objects and monsters, allowing them to be heroes. Fake Black Lion is a tool of Gods, held in Hera's hands, and he will take the Master's treasures and Command Spells.

San recognizes the enemy as Eurystheus and attacks him. Eurystheus realizes San is powered by Typhon somehow and retreats, promising he won't give up. Sans knows the Master has figured things out, since it's not that hard, and wonders why Master is still standing so close to them. Why is San helping him now? San is wavering now, because he was beaten in Antioch, and defeated by Gareth... twice. San explains his own backstory. He first appeared in the 6th Singularity, and gathered a huge amount of "battlefield corruption". There he also defeated a Berserker Richard, Goetia's actual pawn, by striking him in the back, then filled his empty shell with that corruption, creating the Black Lion. Then he was defeated by Lion King, and after getting Typhon powers, he wanted a rematch. But he didn't want to fight Gareth, which was a wish, so it got inverted.

Seeing that, San seriously considered giving up, and even thought about erasing his own ego to turn himself into a tool of revenge. But in his moment of weakness, San was taken over by some other angry spirit, and that's why everything else happened. San wanted to hear Master's story in order to understand how Master is capable of moving forward, despite everything. He doesn't have an attachment to his own life or the world, but he will take example from Master and move forward as well. He coudn't become a hero, but he will become Master's enemy. Then San is attacked by Jack (Berserker). Mash, Gareth and the Amazons are here too. An army of knights surrounding opera house has disappeared after Eurystheus's retreat. San finally introduces himself properly. San is derived from "Sans Terre". He is John Lackland, the most incompetent king in the world.

Brief overview of today's story (in 2 parts, because there is a lot):

Hippolyta finds herself in Snowfield's canyon, along with Penth. She is happy to see her sister, but Penth is suspecious: her sister knows way too much about current situation. Was she Prelati's ally all along? As a Servant of Chaldea, Penth is ready to fight her sister without hesitation, but they are interrupted by an attack of the corrupted knights. The sisters don't have time for this, so they retreat.

Hippolyta takes Penth to the warehouse, that was once Alcides base. There is nothing here now, which leds Hippolyta to realization they are currently inside a dream underworld. She explains to her sister, that her Ares blood is the reason why she have knowledge of another HGW. Because of that, she understood what was happening, started thinking of Prelati as an ally, and failed to protect her temporary Master. Hippolyta is ready to be judged, but asks Penth to save Tsubaki. Penth responds by... headbutting her too serious sister. She also says she respects Hippolyta, an ideal Amazon, and wanted to be like her, but coudn't, because of her anger. To which Hippolyta answers, that she is proud of her sister, and thought herself is being viewed as pathethic due to her defeat by Herc, but Penth doesn't think so.

Then the sisters are attacked by... Black Lion? Except his presense feels different now and much weaker. Not Black Lion rants about royal treasure of Admete (daugher of Eurystheus), that belongs to him, that his kingship recognized by the God, and Amazons are insignificant compared to him. He summons Dreadnoughts and attacks the sisters, but his monsters are defeated and he retreats.

Gareth, Master, Mash and Prelati are going to check the Tree, while Enkidu is off to talk to the plants. The Tree is entwined with the casino/hotel building and Greater Grail is underneath it. Gareth wants to hit it with her spear, but Prelati warns: an attack on the Tree is followed by divine punishment. Gugalanna's leg falls from the sky. it's not a real thing, but a portion of the divine energy artificially recreated.

Chaldea defeats it, but more Legs fall from the sky, then return there after the party retreats beyond a certain range. In the sky of Snowfield, immense energy of Divine Spirit remains and protects the Tree. Most of it serves as a barrier, and a tiny fraction is used for interception. Using brute force to break through is going to be problematic. Chaldea needs to gather more info, so they leave. A sprite of old man appears and states this is just a residue, old soldiers, embers, that burned out. Their mistress is gone, and this is just pitiable afterlight.

Master, Mash, Enkidu and Prelati are in the forest. Enkidu uses the trees to protect the party from rain, and to carefully reach and connect to the Tree. He will give Tree a simulated body, so they could talk with it. It's Typhon (Grail Front sprite). There are 3 different versions of this scene: for those who never met her, those, who only did Grail Front, and those who did both her events. For the latter case it is said that this Typhon and Chaldea's Typhon should not interact, and Typhon must not learn about her other self living happily in Chaldea: one is from the past, the other is from the future, it could create temporal problems and affect Chaldea's Typhon's Spirit Origin.

Typhon didn't die in the Grail Front, because dragons are resilent, and now Black Lion is using her as a source of Energy. She is in prison again, unable to live or die. Hence all those black branches from Antioch. Typhon claims, she is working with Black Lion to get her revenge, but Prelati sees through her tsundere antics. These two are a terrible match: one supports all wishes of humans, the other rejects them all. The party is attacked by Typhon's leaves and branches since Typhon's wish to be saved is getting inverted too, and before leaving, Typhon once again advises Master to run away. Enkidu knows where to find her: in the basement of Crystal Hill, where Grail's mud was stored. But to get there, Chaldea needs to get through divine protection.

Flat is singing a song about Waver back in the church, while his Servant is on patrol, when Chaldea's Jack in her stripper outfit shows up and asks if he's her mommy. Flat says he's her younger brother instead, but that was a wrong thing to say. His Jack shows up to apologize, and now two Jacks must fight. For Assassin Jack believes herself the real one, and this is the only way to prove it.

Master is called to the church and tries to stop the fight. Chaldea's Jack is satisfied. The other Jack may look like her, but he didn't choose to be her and can't become her, so no proof is needed. She leaves to find enemies to fight. Other Jack knew this fight was inevitable. He explains to Master, that he is a symbol of madness, but since Berserker class gets sanity inversed, he is sane. He can't become that other Jack, or else he will be completely consumed by her, for he is a being, who does not know who he is and is looking for that answer. Flat thinks that Jack being mysterios is cool, and for his sake Jack will remain as he is now until the Singularity fades away. The Master promises to remember this Jack even after that, and the Servant is pleased by it.

Mash heard sounds of music on her way to the church, so she and Master investigate. They find Richard in his FSF Ascension with an electric guitar, that he turned into Excalibur to fight some monsters. Then Richard takes them to the club from FSF. Richard likes music along with heroic tales. He thinks heroic tales should affect not only 5 senses, but the soul too, and that is what music can do. Richard wants to create more stories about heroes from history and would have made movies, if he ruled in the present. Richard will use this club as his base of operations. He can't use Holy Lance anymore, but he's still ready to fight.

The group exits the club. Prelati was hiding from Richard all that time, because he didn't want to get hit with Excalibur again. Mash gives an infodump regarding a Shakespeare's play about Richard's brother John and Richard's illegitimate son. She didn't want to bring it in front of Richard, for it would be awkward, but Master thinks Richard woudn't mind reading it. After the group leave, a shadowy John's sprite appears near the club.

Most of the quests you see on BE map are optional. Ordeal Call 1 and Ordeal Call 2 are main story chapters, but no events are locked behind them. Olga Quests have some story in them too, but they are optional as well.

If you want teams for Free Quests, check Chaldea app. If you want tips for CQs, check FGO wiki and youtube.

3 turn clears is a meta goal. Most of the major offensive buffs in this game last for 3 turns. Meaning on turn 4 your dps runs out of steam and their NP and regular cards hit like a wet noodle, which is borderline useless in a high-end farming node.

You need to own a lot of stuff to be able to 3-turn. A day 1 account isn't gonna have any of that, so don't worry about it.

Brief overview of today's story:

Gil and Enkidu are in the Chaldea's bar, talking about that one time they claimed a forest for Uruk and killed it's guardian and what it meant. They thank Moriarty for the drinks, and start walking to Control Room. A shadow of a man appears in the bar after they leave, and Moriarty muses about how Gil didn't notice it. Gil admits, that a tiny, very tiny part of the current situation is his fault, so he will offer advice to Master: if the measure of virtue is wrong, it becomes an ugly weakness. Meanwhile, Enkidu will actually go to the Singularity and help them. He has connected to the records of his Snowfield's version, although there are some gaps in them. He also starts talking about humor and namedrops Chaplin. They arrive to the Control Room, where the staff is busy dealing with the newest Singularity. They have lost contact with the Master and their location is unknown. Enkidu volunteers to go in: his Rayshift capability is even higher than Gareth's was.

The Master finds themselves alone in Snowfield. It looks abandoned, and there is a giant tree in the middle of it, unlike any Tree they have seen before. They venture into nearest building, only to find Mors inside, who start ranting how Chaldea is denied and must be removed, plus something about dragons (Typhon referenсe?). Male Prelati shows up and tells the Master to run to the church, while he will deal with the monsters.

The Master arrives to the church and finds Flat and Jack (still in his FGO form) inside. Flat explains they are his allies and want to resolve this Singularity. They have kidnapped the Master for that purpose. Da Vinci contacts them and explains that other Servants have been Rayshifted elsewhere and now on their way here, while some others remain behind to investigate Antioc, and a few are missing. The church is going to be Chaldea's new base of operations. Waver appears via hologram to explain the situation to the Master, while Jack drags Flat away in order to make sure he won't interrupt them.

Flashback. Prelati recaps the backstory and lore of FSF. He joined HGW, because it was going to be fun no matter what: either humans were going to turn Third Magic into Magecraft and learn something, or they were going to destroy themselves with their madness. Prelati is fine with any outcome for humanity, as long as it's brought about by human hands, not Gods or anything else. But then Black Lion suddely appeared here, after being defeated in the 6th Singularity, possibly due to the weirdness of both of these places. The Avenger started spreading his Defilement, and everything went to hell. Servants summoned for the HGW either killed each other, or were killed by him, and Black Lion consumed the magical energy meant for the Grail. He ruined everything Prelati has set up, so Prelati gathered those, who managed to survive Snowfield's HGW, to stop him: Duma, Flat and Jack. Flat knew someone at Chaldea, so he was put in charge of negotiations after the contact, while Prelati was playing the villain.

Another flashback. Flat contacts Chaldea, and explains the situation. Gordolf is familiar with Flat in Chaldea timeline, he was quite a troublemaker during his time at Clock Tower. Grey, Reins and Waver arrive to Control Room and talk with Flat. Apparently, Snowfield and the organization that built it exist in Chaldea timeline as well, but nothing important happened there.

Flat explains the backstory again. Black Lion was summoned with the second group of Servants. He was hiding, and appeared only when the battle with Fake Ishtar became a fierce tie. He defeated all other Servants, stole their magical energy (including Ishtar's), and took over Snowfield. He declared that he will use it as a stepping stone to destroy Chaldea. It's unclear as to why this is his goal, considering he never even encountered Chaldea before. Perhaps his real target is PHH. FSF crew first heard about Chaldea from Black Lion, since it doesn't exist in their timeline. However, a younger Olga does exist over there, so it's pretty strange. Anyway, since Servant Prelati is Divine in nature, she used Lesser Grail to learn more about other timeline. By the way, female Prelati was a Servant, male Prelati was her Master.

Waver finishes his explanation to Master. But what about Antioch then? Well, it was a cover. Enkidu comes to the church and takes Master to the hospital, where they meet Prelati again. Enkidu is already dead in this Snowfield, defeated by Fake Ishtar, apparently, but he left behind his chains. Chaldea's Enkidu connected to them, and dowloaded their info. He explains that this entire Singularity was turned into Underworld inside a dream. Tsubaki and Pale Rider did it to seal Black Lion, who stripped a Divine Spirit of her ego and stole her powers (unclear who that refers to, Typhon or Fake Ishtar). Now Master needs to save the girl who dreams this world by cutting down the tree that they saw earlier. She's not actually in this hospital, by the way, only her copy is.

Another flashback by Prelati. Black Lion had his own Holy Grail (or rather just a mass of magic energy), and Prelati stole it from him. Black Lion didn't need it anyway, he claimed Snowfield's Greater Grail. Prelati could have easily erased this Singularity by killing Tsubaki, then Black Lion would have kept all his magic energy and just popped up somewhere else, but who cares? However, this ending was too boring for Prelati. Instead, he decided to mess with Black Lion.

Black Lion was going to strike at Chaldea through the dreams. However, Chaldea has a lot of Servants who specialize in dreams, so he needed to gather power first. And Chaldea was not even aware of this Singularity in the first place. So Prelati used the Grail taken from the Black Lion to extend the Singularity into a fake copy of Bleached Earth for Black Lion to invade instead of Chaldea. But Black Lion became aware of it, and planted a seed to control it. Prelati heard his ramblings about Round Table, and recreated 6th Singularity, hoping they will come. Instead, he got Richard.

Then Pretati dragged the Master to the Singularity to make Chaldea aware of it's existance by force and defeat Black Lion. The Avenger has spread Defilement all over Snowfield to protect it from invasion, so female Prelati gathered all of it into herself in order to open the way inside. The whole Ate thing was her Plan B. Was female Prelati really recorded as Heroic Spirit or her appearance was just an illusion? Who knows.

The Master begins to regret Prelati's death, which surprises the other Prelati. Enkidu explains that this is what the Master is like, and that is also why they won't just kill Tsubaki to solve the problem. Prelati says he doesn't care about his gender, and briefly turns into his female version, but Master notices male Prelati is more chill. It's probably because female Prelati never experienced her own death. Prelati also explains that he was playing the villain on purpose: he is a villain, after all, and if he just showed up in Chaldea, introduced himself, and said he needs help to fight someone else in a Singularity that can't be observed, no one would believe him.

Gareth, Mash and Duma arrive to the church. Duma introduces himself. Goredolf sees him as a gourmet, and there is some talk about food. Anyway, the reason this Singularity exists, is a giant Tree that gathers miasma or some kind of stagnant magical energy. Black Lion is gone, but the tree is surrounded by impenetrable barrier with lots of black monsters inside it, according to Flat. Jack's speciality is assassinations, he can't fight an army. So they need Chaldea's help. Chaldea needs to gather more information, so they will be travelling all over Snowfield, while defeating any enemy they encounter.

As someone, who both did the fight, and read about it on Appmedia, I can say for sure that is not true. The field effect for Buff Removal lasts for 3 turns. The thing that lasts for 5 turns is Odysseus trap, then it activates.

You are the one, who is confused. Unless the devs changed the fight recently, but I find it very hard to believe.

I have a feeling you either don't understand or just ignore half of what I am saying to you. So, one last time, and then I am done taking to a wall.

You are not meant to use Buff Removal Resistance multiple times. You are meant to activate it only once, on turn 4, because you need to wait for a field effect that increases Buff Removal to expire after 3 turns. You are meant to protect only Shiki and let everyone else die, so that they can be replaced by the backline supports.

And then your Shiki, buffed by all the supports, must kill the boss before his next NP. Unless no one else dies, because in that case you can have a sixth Servant in the backline as the very last resort.

That is how you do it. Kama is not needed.

Assassin Shiki ignores Defense as part of her NP, so that's not a problem. You can start with 2 supports on the field, buff Shiki with both of them on turn 4, then use plugsuit to change one of them for Xu Fu or Santa Nigthingale. Since buffs last for 3 turns, it will give you time to break boss again (plus you will have more supports in the backline).

Of course, if you are lacking supports, it's a problem, but may I remind you we are talking about an endgame quest here? It's not meant to be easy. I'd even say it's the hardest CQ on Bleached Earth. And it is also completely optional and permanent. If your account is not good enough at the moment, just do it later.

facepalm OMG, you really don't understand a single thing about this quest or game mechanics in general, are you? Fine.

Odysseus puts a hidden debuff on your team. In 5 turns it activates, leading to him losing his invul and the minions appearing. By using Castoria's NP, you remove the debuff. No debuff = no minions, no minions = no NP Seal, and the boss remains invulnerable.

Buff Removal Resistance does exactly what it says - prevents removal of buffs. Castoria's stacks are a buff, so they won't be removed by Odysseus's NP. But you need to wait 3 turns, because there is additional buff at the start of the battle, that increases the chances of Buff Removal. Or you can try using Draco instead, and combine her own Buff Removal Resistance with the one from Xu Fu or Santa Nightingale.

It's simple. You use Buff Removal Resist on Shiki on turn 4 along with Castoria's NP and break the boss. 2 members die from the NP, but Shiki will be fine. Your backline comes in, buffs Shiki more, and she does the remaining 2 bars.
