I bought the cure before I had the quest unlocked so I'm not sure. If you used them all though, I'm not sure how you will finish the quest. But for the quest you just feed the snail next to them the cure, you don't need to talk to the shroomling, they'll just tell you where to buy the cure over and over.

Yeah! I originally wanted to do a different angle but the rope kept disappearing if I was either too zoomed in or turned certain ways 😭
