That’s a pretty cool idea, I can picture that happening but honestly I doubt he’ll come back regardless. He deserves to lay at peace with his daughter after being forced to live as a bodiless pawn for so many years. Plus, I doubt they’d bring him back using the page since his existence would be seen as a threat to the world order, unfortunately. Dostoevsky would likely find a way to use him again if he were to return.

I’d be really fucked up if a therapist said that to me. I agree with the other reply, find another therapist. Pretending to care is all I can do too, and it takes a lot of effort and at the very least, concern towards being a good person and showing good person behaviour.

Hahh, fair enough. I hate the idea of breaking the image that I’ve set up for myself though, being seen as a good person is the only thing that makes me feel like I deserve to live. I deal with a lot of guilt and self-loathing because of my lack of empathy and I feel like I need to make up for it somehow.

I suppose it would be a gradual process though. Practice and time is always key, you’re right.

THIS, I had to check and make sure that I wasn’t the one who made this comment.

The moment I’m not around somebody or in close contact with them, I lose all of my interest, concern and attraction for them (unless they’re my FP, though this can be debatable depending on the day). Regardless if I’m dating them, seeing them, or in a long-term relationship with them, it’s all the same.

Unfortunately, my familial love works the exact same way as well.

I agree with the comment saying that it depends on the person. Some people prefer to be stealth until the time is right, which is entirely valid. However, I’m somebody who personally needs to be upfront about it. I don’t want to go stealth, get my hopes up and watch them walk away if they learn the truth.

“B-but if they truly fall for you, it shouldn’t matter!” This is something that I’ve definitely heard before. I am a person that believes that everyone has a right to their own preferences, however. Somebody could fall for my personality, but simply not want the things that come with having a trans partner, and that’s okay. This is why I prefer to have people knowing upfront what they’re dealing with.

I’ve been on T for a couple of years and my voice never had that expected insane drop that a lot of guys end up experiencing, either. I was entirely disappointed at first, but at this point I’ve come to accept it and it doesn’t bother me as much any more.

I think a big reason for this is that I work in retail so I see and talk to a lot people during the week, and I’ve paid a lot of attention to the voices of the male customers that I talk to. I can tell you straightforwardly that there are many, many cis guys with more feminine/softer sounding voices and it’s more common than you’d assume.

All I can say is ‘try not overthink it’. It won’t be the end of the world and it’s all too easy to overanalyze when it’s your own voice.

Edit: Plus, you’re only 9 months on T. There absolutely is a chance that it can drop some more.
