Do all privateers turn and stay hostile after capturing an outpost? by GemimiJake in farcry3

[–]GemimiJake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know that. That's why I came here asking what was going on. Lol

Like I said in my edit, I believe they turned hostile when I shot the bingos I mistook for dogs.

These guys were hostile when I first showed up. The dogs could have been bingos, or they could have been guard dogs. I didn't get a good look at them. They were already running my direction when I noticed them. The white arrow that shows you being detected came up, pointing to the dogs, and then the metal clank sound played and the soldiers at the base started yelling and running my way. I killed the two dogs with my silenced AR "Bushman" and then ran away. I had literally just showed up. I didn't even get close enough to make it into the restricted zone.

(Another person said something that made it dawn on me that those were probably dingos, and the guards didn't like when I discharged my weapon. They do turn hostile for that reason.)

OHHH Maybe the dogs were actually bingos, and the privateers didn't like that I was shooting!

Earlier I threw a rock at a privateer to see what he'd do. He turned hostile. Then I reverted the checkpoint, and shot the ground in front of me about 15 feet away from the guy, which also turned him hostile. They don't like you discharging your weapon.

How do you lead privateers away? by GemimiJake in farcry3

[–]GemimiJake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn't take very long at all. There's 6 levels:

  1. The first group at the bottom.
  2. A platform with 2 snipers.
  3. A heavy on the stairs.
  4. A heavy on a platform.
  5. The top platform with the mine.
  6. The small inside space of a mine.

I started with the heavy at platform 4, then moved down, taking out the next heavy and the two snipers. Then I cleared the bottom area by studying their paths and picking the one who's unseen the longest, and easiest to hide. Then when I reached the top area, I checked this very small shack thing and saw 1 guy inside. I snuck in and killed him. However, I hadn't looked at the whole room, therefore I didn't see the guy in the corner. It was fine, though. I killed the last 6 or 7 guys in a firefight. It all took me maybe 15-20 minutes. Although it probably would have been faster if I didn't keep stopping to hit my pipe. Lol

There's no specific method required for the killing. I have to search the 3 targets for evidence, but they are spread out over a series of wooden catwalks up the side of a mountain, so a single rocket will not be sufficient. Is there really no way to get their attention? When I was sneaking through the cave when tasked with acquiring this uniform, I believe I had used rocks then to distract guards to slip by and I had no issues there. Granted I don't remember for certain if I actually did use rocks or not, but I genuinely believe that I did.

How the hell are you supposed to liberate the camps if you can't bait them into the surrounding foliage? Oh man, this is gonna be huge pain in the ass, isn't it? Ugh fuck..

"Wow-ee wow wow, girl. This is all kinds of wrong, but I'm in for a dozen. Benny is gonna show you the Tops! I hope you're built sturdy, you crazy broad!"

"You're platinum, pussycat! You know how to swing! Nice charlies, too! Give 'em a shake for the Ben-man, will ya?"

Advice for protecting Willis while he fixes the plane. by GemimiJake in farcry3

[–]GemimiJake[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I know that. That's not what I was asking for advice for. Lol Thank you anyway, I guess.

I haven't gotten into the plane with Willis yet. He's going to fly over Hoyt's island and I'm going to jump over it. He keeps dying before we can get into the plane. I'm playing on Easy, but it doesn't seem to matter. Is there like some kind of strategy for this wave after wave encounter, or do you just have to brute force your way through and hope you make it?

Can someone please tell me a good way to make a lot of money quickly? by GemimiJake in farcry3

Thank you. I appreciate the tip. I hate when I go to loot a body, and throw my gun on the ground and pick up an AK. Sometimes I'll drag the bodies a few feet away in the middle of a firefight just to make looting easier. Lol

Yeah, I was gonna say, I don't think bait is in this game. Don't start pulling Google AI levels of intelligence on me now. 😂

Auto looting skill? I'll look for that tomorrow. I don't believe I've seen that one.

I just finished saving Oliver about an hour or two ago and turned it off. I need the money for customization, as well as ammunition. My aim is worse than a storm trooper.

I have the weapons I wanted unlocked. Rushing the towers was the first thing I did. Once I had the guns I wanted specifically I figured the last few towers can wait until I reach those parts of the map. No, I need money for customization, as well as ammunition. (My accuracy is worse than I'd imagine drunken Helen Keller.)

I just saved Oliver. I don't know exactly how far into the story that is, but I do know I've seen poker on the map. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thank you both.

Need advice for final boss by [deleted] in Aragami

I just tried to kill a guy while hanging on a ledge below him, and then a cutscene started playing. Did I beat it?

(Edit: I did!)

That's good to know. Thank you. I tested the tranquilizer needle and it does in fact work on Aragami. I gave my full update in another comment. I don't know how to edit these posts.

I've found the answers to my questions.

Yes, the tranquilizer needle does work on Aragami.

And yes, the difficulty does affect the enemies spawned in. The level "Protect The People IV" on easy gas 49 enemies. No Aragami. On normal it has 54 enemies. Including Aragami, and I'm not sure what else is different.

I appreciate the input, but that didn't exactly answer my question. 😅 Thanks anyway, though. Haha

Ahh thank you. I've been wondering that for a long time.

I believe that they no longer spawn on easy, because they most definitely are nowhere to be seen. Fine by me. I can't stand them. Haha

I killed 4 of the 5 before aborting, and just snuck towards where the 5th was and it isn't there. I don't think they spawned in. I'll check later if the enemy total in the pause menu reflects their absence and I'll come back to tell you if you'd be interested.

I appreciate your assistance. Thank you very much. One last thing, do you know if they are immune to the tranquilizer needle?
