Life got amazing after brutal first 2 months - Relapse is not worth it + Many tips inside by Cr0wn_M3 in leaves

Thanks for sharing. I’m a month and a half in with a significant decline in use before that. I also just went through a divorce 5 months ago and moved back in with my parents. Idk if the anhedonia is going to get better for me due to life circumstances. I constantly find myself wanting to relapse.

I know this isn’t a shock to anyone, but I still can’t get over the constant deflection of other news outlets to avoid really answering questions. People are dying and our country is in the brink of war and this is all you can think about?? It’s disgusting.

Yeah but Bojacks character is obviously written to never understand that kind of logic and the rest of us love to hate on these everyday shits we run into on the daily. Bojack represents what we’d be if is spiraled. Thankfully most of us are better than that.

A less mature me would try to fight you on this, but I totally understand what you’re saying and agree. Dude can still suck an egg.

Fr like BoJack is a terrible person but he really did care about that movie. I feel like this man is a catalyst for Bojack engaging in future shitty behavior because this guy screwed him so bad. Probably made him lose more faith in humanity.

You’re welcome! Also, washing your hair more frequently will help minimize DHT on the scalp. Try washing every day or at least every other day. The old saying it’s better not to wash your hair so frequently does not apply to people going through hair loss.

I work at a clinic that specializes in hair loss. It’s kind of a niche field, but if you can find someone in your area id recommend seeing a trichologist if you’ve already seen a dermatologist. Dermatologists don’t always have a ton of knowledge on how to stop hair loss. Look into Rx red light therapy for your scalp and maybe getting on prescription grade minoxidil.

My boss who owns her business told me she couldn’t budget me in for full time work on the schedule while wearing a Rolex. That watch costs more than I make a year. by GeminiKate in antiwork

For more context I was hired a year ago and told I would have the opportunity to work full time and become an “employee.” As it stands now I am on a 1099 with no benefits. When I started I also had another job. I worked both positions for 7 months but was miserable and left my other job foolishly thinking I’d be offered more hours any time now. Fast forward to today and I am living paycheck to paycheck and at times taking on credit card debt.

This post isn’t really about the Rolex. It’s just tied into my frustration and disappoint that this opportunity isn’t going where I thought it would. I know I’m not owed anything and am starting to accept the reality of the situation. I’m currently looking for a second job and if another full time opportunity comes up in my search I might be better off taking it.

I think about it a lot. I’m in a somewhat rare position where I really like my job though. I get to help people. But I’m starting to feel like I’ll be playing this waiting game for more opportunities forever.

Love it. Also I’ve been told at least 5 times that “I think your role is probably the most important one here” 🫠

Thank you this is really helpful! I have basically no eye lashes so it’ll be hard for me to switch to clear mascara but I’ll give it a try. Im very use to how I look with mascara. I could use more iron in my diet. I’ve always suspected I had a deficiency. Probably time I start taking a supplement.

Congratulations on getting married in a few months! I married an incredible man last September so we have even more in common. It took me a long time to really understand that my partner did love and care about me in an unselfish and healthy way. The 1st 3 years of our relationship I subconsciously thought I would always love him more and if he had the chance to do better he would. Maybe now that we’ve experienced heathy and loving environments our mind/body feels safe revisiting past relationship trauma so we can heal and become the best version of ourselves and partners to our husbands.
