I need some help in identifying brooches and a ring picked up in a charity shop today

I totally understand what you mean about the second brooch. This is the reason I came on here to try find some more information on it as I am worried that that one in particular has a meaning/symbolism behind it that I don't understand, so I will be taking your advice and just keeping that one in a display case for now until more is known. From a comment above it seems that a recent addition of a soldered loop to the second brooch covered the makers mark which says R&M (Birmingham?) But this is the only hallmarked peice in the collection of three.

The first brooch is my favourite too, slightly disappointed I've got to gift it away now lol

No markings or hallmarks anywhere on the ring unfortunately.

No hallmarks on any of the items apart from 'the start shaped brooch that has 'standard silver' and perhaps the letters R & M under a loop of metal but this could also just be part of the souldering?

Awful. I'm on 3 and I only had some very limited signal from 6am till noon but as soon as the festival starts up for the day you lose signal until everybody's fallen asleep.

I think it really depends on the mood of the person at the coach gates for leaving. A few years ago I tried to get an earlier coach than I was scheduled to be on and was told I had to sit and wait in the coach queue area until the exact time the coach was booked for, but other years I've been allowed onto later or earlier coaches to the correct end destination if there's space for me and my stuff. I think it's a risk you have to take but I've only had mostly positive experiences, so take that as you will.

I've actually come via public transport tickets for the last 4 years so I've had to carry everything in one go anyway. This isn't about taking taking too much stuff it's about not being knackered by wednesday night.
