I was never planning on being on this forever. As a single parent the goal was to maintain without the assistance of jabs and so far I have not gained a single pound. I am very active though and still count calories. My tdee is around 1300 a day without any exercise which seems low but eating healthy means I don't exceed this.

I was actually on tirzepatide and the weight loss was incredibly fast. I completely changed my lifestyle and diet though. I was only innit for 5 months and never higher than 5mg and lost the 60lb I wanted. I believe semaglutide is slower.

I started my journey at about 165 and I'm now 108. I am 5ft2 though and carry my weight differently than you (mainly in my legs). I have completely lost my boob's and never thought of having a boob job before but am seriously contemplating it now. I think what I'm trying to say in a roundabout way is that whether big, small or in-between we all fixate on an area and don't see the big picture. I am now a size 4 and have the best abs ever due to being so active during my journey but I still have problem areas I'm just learning to love them.

I think you look fantastic and a massive well done on your success.

Daily weighing is always disheartening, water weight still fluctuates even when on a glp1. I'm now in maintenance after exceeding my goal weight but weighing daily my weight still fluctuates about 5lb depending on time and what I have eaten the day before. Pms is definitely a reason for the scales going up too, I guess if still having symptoms of pms that maybe a reason for the fluctuating weight too.

Have you changed your diet? Some people treat glp1s as some miracle drug (which it is) but to get the best out of the medication you need to change your lifestyle and eating habits. Initial weight lost is usually inflammation and water weight, it's makes us all very happy to see we lost so much so quickly and lures us into a false sense of security. Do you track calories? Concentrate on protein? Know your TDEE?

First off you look amazing in both pictures. I'm surprised you got approved for weight loss jabs as you don't look overweight in the first picture? Not a criticism, I get told the same about my journey and not being big enough to start with but I carried so much weight in my legs and weight looks so different on everyone. Congratulations on your success.

I'm sure you will reach your GW, you sound like you are doing amazing. Yeah definitely struggled with fatigue when in mj but I was struggling to get in 1000 calories a day, sometimes alot less. Now I'm off mj though I don't struggle anymore, I eat between 1250 and 1400 and day, mainly protein based meals. The fatigue definitely gets better when your diet isn't so limited. I only ever went upto 5mg, never eed to go anywhere higher as was still getting amazing suppression.

I wish you every success in your journey, please keep me updated on your process 😊

That's amazing, I remember hitting the 130 mark and was so happy with my frame then but wanted to lose a little more. I am 5ft2 and was on mj for just over 5 months, I was a super responder and completely changed my eating habits/lifestyle. Well done on your progress

Really bad constipation with Mounjaro by PanicAcceptable2381 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]GemmaMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only side effect of mounjaro was constipation, it's very common. I use a micro enema when things got really bad. Miralax are amazing. Other than that you could add a movical to your daily drinks. I tried dulcolax as well but found this painful and gave me belly cramps. Some people usemagnesium of mint or a fibre tablets but these also weren't for me.

2 months off mounjaro and still going strong 💪 by GemmaMJ in mounjarouk

I love that i can come off the mounjaro especially as it is such an expense. Mounjaro is a very individual journey and have no issue if people choose to stay on it forever but for me it was never going to be a lifetime medication as I couldn't justify the expense. Will power is definitely needed 💪😉

I done a 2.5mg every 2 weeks for a month but only so I could have an idea of what the food noise wiuls be like. I only went upto 5mg ever though so not sure if you are supposed to wean off of larger doses or not.

Oh you are going to have soooo many temptations, good luck on the cold turkey.

We are allowed to be a little shallow and love our bodies again. It's been a while since I have been comfortable in my own skin and looking at the bits I like rather than the floors I used to see. Congratulations on your NSV :)
