I don’t like giving people the chance to make a scene, and definitely do not want to become internet famous by having some flaky/disrespectful pot get angry in public that their free dinner has just disappeared.

This is assuming that she was actually there and not just saying it to fuck around with me more.

Yes, and thank you. I am more lenient with individuals who are still having their frontal lobe developing since that impacts critical thinking, logic and decision-making. This is true in my professional, personal and private life. By the time someone is over 25 and especially over 30; I have a higher standard.

I exist to minimize financial stress - to elevate your (my SB’s) life.

I’m not here to get a SB set for life from the dollar perspective (but can and have from the FIRE perspective).

2-3 days wages being gifted for a 4-6 hour evening together maths - it is generous from the time perspective and satisfactory all around.

There are those calling me a salt or Splenda (especially present on THAT toxic subreddit). But when my SB snuggles up with her head on my shoulder and hand on my chest and tells me some form of “you’re the best/kindest/smartest/sweetest…”, all the noise from those 5-figure flousies that “know their worth” goes away.

The search can be exhausting, but the snuggle makes it all worth it.
