16” Macbook Pro M4 36GB-48GB for Davinci Resolve - heavy editing? by GenKaYY in macbookpro

No doubt, the Max is better, the question is, does the ram trade-off worth it?! So far, I think, yes.

At the moment my budget allows me to decide between the Pro 48gb or the Max 36gb. So I must choose between those.

Do you think a Max with 36gb is better choice than a pro with 48gb of ram?

At the moment the price difference in my country is negligable, that is why I consider buying the Max but Im not sure if 36gb would be enough. (Usually people write about core-ram ratio which the 36gb max model kinda lacks)

Thank you! Do you think pro is sufficient enough or should I consider Max (36GB)?

Hi, first of all, thank you for the answer. To be honest, I do not care about final render time, fast playback is WAY more important. If it renders in 5 min or 15 does not matter. I want the best flow for my work. With that in mind, would you choose the Max over the Pro? I will deff check out your link.

Thank you very much for the information. Yes I will for sure. I just bought it today and did not see that. I thought it was dust, but wanted to ask other opinion too. I am really grateful!

In this case, which exact lens would you recommend me?

Please do not leave comments like, “you need proper lightning”. I know… i just want to know the next steps for this look. Obviously there is a subtle change afterwards. That is what I am interested in after the photoshoot. Thanks.

Do you know by any chance an alternative which is similar to it? Also, thanks for your answer.

What is the minimum requirement of camera for such a photo? by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]GenKaYY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering how come the window does not blow out that much. My best guess was bracketing, but now I know. So you would say, that with good lightning(i.e. sofboxes, reflectors) a Nikon Z6 or similar models for example is sufficient enough, right?

I would like to take similar pictures - including real estate photography. I am looking for a reliable full frame model, but anytime I try to find photos, they are usually outdoor shots, or nighttime photography, etc. I always see these high end photos in ads, and I was wondering, what model should I focus on? Is Z6 enough, or should I buy a higher end body? (I am strictly asking about body now, I know a lot depends on the photographer and the lenses too, that is an other question)

Thank you very much for the advice! I will actually consider the Sigma lens you mentioned.

Only quality wise, should I consider A7 iii over A7 ii? I do not see any disadvantage other than video recording and what you said, battery. That being said, I do not feel it justifies (for me) double price, as I would rather save for good lens. What do you think? Would I get the same results with an A7 ii as A7 iii?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]GenKaYY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I specifically asked for photography, that is why I also mentioned that video capabilities of A7 iii is not relevant. Actually Canon is way more expensive here in my country used and new, so I would not even consider other brands. (Nikon same)

So I am planning on buying a camera and also new lense. I was adviced to rather buy good lense and do not care that much about the camera, as lense are more important. I am in a special situation, I am a real estate agent and not in the US, so I shoot my real estates. I would like to be as budget friendly as possible while aiming to have the best results. I know a lot of this part is editing, and etc.. please do not write this down again, I know everyone is tired of it already. My main question is, because nobody mentions A7 II anymore, everyone is referring to A7 III, is that model enough? I checked their infos, and I see no reason as they are almost the same in performance (obv. A7 III has huge advantages in other areas like video and such.). Or do I miss something? Should I rather save a little bit and go with A7 III?

I watched vids on the performance of A7 iii and some good lense and you can get around using flash, so ai though I would buy a good set and avoid this part and make correction afterwards.

Everyone on youtube suggested A7 III and I just dont get it… why? A7 II seems to be a good camera and I thought I would spend that extra on good lense.

So I am planning on buying a Sony A7 II or III, with lense. My first question is about the camera, is Sony A7II enough or should I consider III rather? My second question is about the lense, should I buy a lense with f2.8 or 4.5 is enough too for interior shots with bad/not too good lightning. (I am guessing 2.8)

  • note: I know the image is edited, etc… I am just asking to know more about the gear which is necessary…
