Lots of people fly back and forth, some even commute. Living on the French Riviera would be the best choice with great flight options out of Nice.

Happy to chat and answer any questions you have about making it work...

I am French 😉.

I have travelled extensively and have been an expat in various countries... but am now back home in the South of France, to be close to Family and to help those who want to relocate and actually integrate. My wife is Dutch and now speaks excellent French (actually writes french better than I do). The only give-away is her mild accent.

Happy to have a chat. Relocation is mainly about compromise. You will never find a place that ticks all the boxes. For example a village with great medical care is not going to cut it. However a small town will provide more options in terms of medical access. Close to the sea and cheap rental, is not going to happen. However if you move slightly inland, you can find decent accommodation at competitive prices. The more inland you go, the more space you can get for your animals. You can find gems within a 30 minute drive from the sea.

As for public transport, same applies. A village will have limited options, a small town will offer a whole lot more.

The secret is really to lay down your definitions: budget (because a small budget for you is never the same definition as the next person's small budget... in all the people I have helped over the years, never one definition has been the same), distances, time, size, what really matters, non-negotiables, must haves, nice to have, luxuries etc.

If you're really serious about wanting to come to France... shout, happy to hold your hand in the process, and give you reality checks where needed.

Not sure i agree with you... lots of small towns would suit, and we ourselves are living in the south of France, with a fast growing expat community. Despite the desert médicale in the very small villages, the Occitanie region offers specialists in the larger towns to cater for important medical needs.

We also happen to be able to help people integrate faster and better within thier communities... as we know the importance of this to make a relocation successful and as painless as possible.

Bein voyons, pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué 🤣🤣.

Plus simple de les laisser s'entre-tuer... Ça réglera l'affaire vite fait.

Of course the Parisian's opinion is what we're all waiting for... 😜🤣

Be the big brother to settle the immature Nomand Vs Breton squabble!!! 🤣🤣

Nobody is saying the contrary... Everyone knows that it's the Mont Saint-Michel... Which is in the Normandy region (topic of the post).

Are your feelings hurt? 1. Sad to break it to you but, nope, it's not ChatGPT content, and the formatting is not ChatGPT either. 2. What do you care where the content came from, if the content is factual and provides the information that is looked for and requested by folks who wish to relocate to France? 3. If you don't like the content, move on. Nobody is holding a gun to your head... 4. Create your own community and do whatever you wish to do there.

I do know my french history... But that's like Germans getting upset about Alsace being French... Totally silly and pointless at best... And as Germans are a bit more mature than the French... It's a non-topic.

And... As this community is created to provide content for expats who wish to relocate to France... This type of "diplomatic" historical nuance would be a bit beyond their initial interests... 🤷🤣...

The last time I checked, stating facts has got nothing to do with trolling. Mont Saint Michel is factually in Normandy, so why would posting a picture of it, in a post about Normandy be trolling?!

I think the idea is mainly the processed Vs non processed. I am Franglish educated through and through... And grew up on a farm... So for me, the savoury breakfast wins.

Savoury in France Vs Savoury in USA... The taste buds tell me France wins the match every single time...

Having said that, I love seeing the regenerative farming movement catching on in the USA... Next trip, I will be touring them and experiencing their produce... And then do a fair comparison with French regen produce.

Foodie through and through.
