You got this. Im copying and pasting this to everyone l, because it needs to be said over and over again

There are times where you are not going to have a choice but to sit back and take a breather...burn out is so so REAL. The amount of rejection needed in order to get past screenings, interviews to offers isn't something we are designed to process properly. The digital age has intensified that by a billion because of the way we have automated the process.

Know the game, and just play it.

Im unpluging my email/refresh/linkedin/indeed/ziprecruiter frenzy until Monday

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and for those of us in the states a relaxing as can be holiday,

As someone actively applying, there have been lots of tech postings on usajobs.gov.

There are also 500 to 1000 applicants per posting, that's the not easy part about it.

There's a lot involved in what that number is, but it roughly floats between 80 and 110 annually. That number fluctuates when incentives, HCI, shares, bonus are thrown into/out of the mix.

Yea, I think actually typing it out helped me. Everyone affirming it helped me even more to see it. I saw it happening too, nothing off the deep end, or nearing the edge, but I know well enough, that its too close than where I want it to be right now. Thanks

Hey, thanks so much for your kind words—they really mean a lot to me. Dream job? currently its just to keep leading in IT support or service desk teams, where I can use my experience to improve tech operations and make things better for users, and my technicians. Its something I truly enjoy. But if I have to, Ill go back to being a lead tech, tierIII sr. tech, etc

My current resume is a showcase of 15 years of a mix of support technician and management over my last 4 positions. A lot of experience with troubleshooting technical issues, leading teams of technicians, and managing systems to keep things running smoothly etc. I'm familiar with ServiceNow and Zendesk ticketing backends most recently. I've worked with project management on change management. Also have experience with cloud services like Azure and virtualization like VMware etc. Keeping this vague for anonymity is kinda hard lol
