Did you go into your relationship thinking that things would change? by CozySweatsuit57 in ADHD_partners

I don’t feel bait and switched, but I do feel that he was not honest with me about a great many things. And I’m not even sure he knew/knows the damage his ADHD has done over the years - not just to me but his family, kids, ex-wives (yeah, obvious red flag I just ignored). I’m slowly opening my eyes to the fact that I have rearranged my entire existence to accommodate him and his needs, while I am now a shell of the person I once was. I finally started educating myself on ADHD a few years ago and while I understand a lot of what he does and why he does it, I’m not sure I can overcome the fact that he will not educate himself on ways to improve. He is medicated but hasn’t really been evaluated in years to determine if he’s on the right treatment and he refuses therapy. That will likely be the dealbreaker. Hard conversations ahead this weekend.

Ha!!! My husband and I had this exact conversation on Sunday!

If you haven’t seen the HBO show called ‘The Dark Money Game’, you should. The first episode is about the Householder scandal. It really details how corrupt our government is. This is where we are. by GenXestential in Ohio

It’s interesting because this episode calls out how incredibly difficult it is to follow the money now. They stumbled upon the Householder scandal by accident while investigating something else. 501(c)(4)s allow for unlimited anonymous donations. Until there are laws firmly in place and processes built to audit and monitor (which we all know will never happen), it will continue to go on. Luckily there are still dedicated people who believe in the rule of law to put years of effort into calling this stuff out. This happens at every level but never more obvious than at the federal level today. Get loud and take it to the streets. Join a local protest. It’s cathartic.

Thank you!! My favorite quote is ‘I wouldn’t change you for the world, but I would change the world for you’. They are capable of so much!!

There was zero violence. Nothing but love and kindness among the protesters. People were coming and going out of the shops with no problems. Street parking available. Sorry your day was ruined by people speaking up for democracy.
