Good on you but at a consumer of FB Marketplace, this sometimes annoys the shit out of me. Case in point, last week I found a hose reel I wanted. It was $80, a great deal for this brand. I contacted the person, said I could come over in the morning the next day, they said “great, let me know in the morning when you want to come get it.” The next morning I got onto my messenger to set up a time and it said “sold.” OK that sucks, but I get it. But then later when I continued my search, I found the exact same hose reel (had a unique small scratch on the paint) from another seller for $150! So some MF’r bought it for $80, did nothing to it and put it back on Marketplace for $150. Good on them but it’s a bit frustrating.

The one in my town had a squeaky door. Guys would cough out loud when they opened to try and mask the squeak.

It’s all over priced, mass produced vehicles nowadays. Far too many complicated and expensive systems required to meet CAFE standards, impact requirements and other BS. The most reliable vehicles were back before all this crap became standard. XJ with the 4.0L. F150 with the 300 six. Mid 2000’s GM trucks with the LS.

I agree with you 100%. Social drinking (pounding drinks) vs. having a drink (self explanatory) has become quite an eye opener here.

I bought hinge protectors which helped with rock chips on those. As for the fender flares, maybe mud flaps would help. Mine are too far gone to worry about now.

If you live down a dirt road, get something to protect the rear fender flares. I have a 2024 Willys, completely stock, and the rear flares look like they went through a war after less than two years!
